We are heading to Grande Ocean in 3 weeks in an Ocean Side unit. Any suggestions on the best building for the Ocean Side views? Any of the buildings recently renovated? Thank you.

See map. Any villas below the red line are Ocean Side. Left side of resort is more quiet. Right side of resort is more active. Choose whichever you prefer.

We request Dolphin yearly for our large group. We prefer the quieter options plus it's a mixture of OF & OS. Given the shape of the buildings and locations I believe that 8045, 8055 & 8056 are the best choices in OS. 80 is the Dolphin building and X5 is the stack by the stairwell and closest to the beach in that building. X6 is the next stack on the non beach side.

Consider ocean side to just be garden view.

So do all three of these mentioned rooms have decent (some ocean) views, or if only 8045 and 8055 do, what are the views like from 8056? Thanks in advance for the info/recommendation!

They’re all good, I would take them in the order of 8055, 8045 followed by 8056 and then 8046

We just enjoyed two weeks at Grande Ocean earlier this month and stayed in the Dolphin building. We generally prefer staying on the quiet lagoon side of the property when not accompanied by our children and grandchildren and usually request the Dolphin. Here is a photo of the view from the balcony of villa 8048. The building in the distance is the Sea Horse. Unless you are on the 5th floor of the lagoon side buildings, the OS views of the ocean are generally obstructed by the live oaks. We had a partial view of the ocean from villa 8048, whereas my brother and SIL were in villa 8047 next door and could not see the ocean at all just trees We all love the live oaks with Spanish moss native to the low country. If one wants to see the ocean it's just a beach chair away or simply sitting on one of the many relaxing swings on the property. As owners of 4 OS weeks at Grande Ocean and having stayed in most of the buildings over the years, we don't feel that there is a poor OS villa on the property.

Is there a map or other resource that details the room numbers and their locations in the buildings of Grande Ocean?
