Breckenridge Grand Vacations - Purchasing Resale and "Club" benefits?

BGV is an excellent operator and they know the Breckenridge market better than anyone. I feel sure Marriott has made a run at them. We talked to a salesman at Grand Colorado who left Marriott to join BGV. BGV would never build an upscale resort miles from the mountain like Welk (aka Hyatt) did.

Pre-pandemic we were told Marriott had made them an offer on Grand Colorado. The brothers thought about but but turned them down.

BGV MF’s are nothing to sneeze at, but I shudder to think what should have happened had Marriott taken control.

We really enjoyed Breck and also the drive from Denver. Stopped in Idaho Springs at Smokin Yards BBQ which was one of my son's favorite spots to eat. Burnt Ends .

Ski In/Ski Out is so convenient. Can you trade into Peak7 or Grand Colorado easily on Interval? I just use Elite Alliance for exchange/trading and those properties aren't on there

That would be nice it they did allow bonus time for Peak 7 and 8. But I have heard some speculate since they are taking weeks back on ROFR that they will always be actively marketing at these resorts. I had a winter week that I originally, picked up resale at reasonably price and paid to upgraded to winter plus during a promotion they ran a few years ago. This got me in at a fraction of what they sell the winter plus weeks for, but was a significant cost. Still not sure if it was the right thing to do, but glad I now have a winter plus week and bonus time is a nice perk.
Can you tell me how your resale has worked out for you? Is it easy to upgrade?

Not easily, but it can be done. Be prepared to look at Interval early every day if you want to grab a ski week, especially if you want a one bedroom rather than a studio. We were able to get the first week in February this year in a one bedroom and were thrilled to get it! Note there is a $20 per day resort fee if you trade in, but it’s worth it!

Do you feel there is much availability for bonus time during ski season? What about just for reserving parking for day trips?

We just did a tour and are considering buying a week. Any advice you could give on what to pick would be valuable.
