Question on AI dues

I purchased a resale contract at the District in late 2025 effective in 2026, paid my 2026 club dues which were charged as normal and then called to pay my AI dues. At the time, the lady only charged me $152 instead of the proper $160 uplift and today I got a bill in my online portal for the $160. The $152 payment coded as a normal HGVC payment rather than an HOA payment on my credit card statement so I presume this is the issue. I spoke to 2 different people on the phone who both basically said they couldn't help me but they'd transfer me to the HOA department but then never did (the first person hung up on by accident I hope and the second said all she could do was log a support ticket). I don't know if the second lady will actually log anything so I logged my own ticket and it says they'll respond within 30 business days! Has anyone else ever had this happen? What did you do to resolve this?

How long did it take between when your week got added and when you were billed your club dues?

Only about a month and at that time I called in and paid the AI uplift but today I got a bill for the 160 AI uplift

It sounds like you paid for the remainder of 2025 and then got billed for 2026?

Hmm I hope not as I didn’t have any 2025 points and it wasn’t prorated

IIRC, that’s what happened to me when I requested AI around the July/August timeframe. I payed the difference from the normal dues, and that was only for the remainder of the year, then billed for the next years dues in January. No prorating as in partial year, just the difference between standard dues and AI dues.

For me it was fine as I used the first year points as well as HGVC points I already had, but definitely a bummer if you got it in Dec and didn’t even use it.

This is exactly the issue. Because I made reservations in 2025 even though my contract started in 2026, they applied the amount I paid to 2025 even though I thought it was 2026 which I guess is fair. Thank you to you and iftravel for your help!
