I doubt the Canadian women's hockey teams is happy about it. The comment would probably be taken as a little patronizing. It was gold or bust for both teams.Congrats to their Silver Medal
IMHO, about any sporting event know matter have hard the runner up teams plays and give blood, sweat and tears. They are forgotten after the game is over.I doubt the Canadian women's hockey teams is happy about it. The comment would probably be taken as a little patronizing. It was gold or bust for both teams.
I watched the third period. Even though the Canadians were up by a goal, I could tell by the way they were trying to tighten down defensively that something grim (for Canada) was going to happen. They had that power play late in the third to try to put the game out of reach but barely did anything with that opportunity.CONGRATULATION TO THE USA WOMEN'S HOCKEY TEAM ON WINNING THE GOLD MEDAL TODAY....2-1 IN OT.
AND CONGRATULATION TO THE CANADIAN WOMEN TEAM ON WINNING THE SILVER MEDAL.
I didn't watch it, but it sounds kinda similar to the men's 2010 tournament in Vancouver, except Canada won. USA tied it up late in the third with their goalie pulled for the extra attacker. Though I think they played 4 on 4 in OT back then.I watched the third period. Also, when the Americans pulled their goalie for the extra attacker, IIRC, after the faceoff, I don't think the Canadians even touched the puck before the tying goal.
If there's one thing good that comes out of this Olympic Ice Hockey tournament, it's that we can see what happens when you have sudden death 3-on-3 OT. I wouldn't mind seeing the NHL adopt that rule for the playoffs. I remember after the 2002 SLC Winter Olympics, the NHL adopted the quick line change and face off rule from the Olympics.
Not really. It was GOLD or Silver. Obviously Gold is preferable, but it's hardly WIN or go home empty-handed.I doubt the Canadian women's hockey teams is happy about it. The comment would probably be taken as a little patronizing. It was gold or bust for both teams.
That game isn’t till Sunday. What time does the real Gold Medal Hockey Games starts today.
Team USA Hockey Team just won The Gold Medal . Th final score 4 to 0.
Well, your wish has come true. Unlike when these two countries met in the Gold Medal Match the previous two times, this one will not be played on either of the contestants' home soil. They played in the USA in 2002 and Canada in 2010.Hoping for another USA vs Canada Final
Today Team Canada out played Team USA on the ice. But asked you have stated the difference today was the goalie Connor Hellebuyck. The best team today didn't win. Team Canada lost the game. They dominate the game but unfortunately for them, the US goaltender, Connor Hellebuyck, was very good and he didn't chock like he did normally in the playoff with Winnipeg.
Connor Hellebuyck won the game. He deserves the Gold medal. Team USA not so much today.
