DVC MFs on CSR get 4x spend UR Bonus, United Club 2x

FYI, I ran a test and DVC MFs on the Chase Sapphire Reserve count as 'hotel' and get the 4x spend UR point bonus. Better than last year's 3x spend and much better than the misc travel 1x spend I feared. I also tested the Chase United Club card and get the 2x travel bonus (as expected).

Well, that was something I was going to ask here today, ironically. We have been using our Chase Ink Plus to get 5X on gift cards to pay DVC. I have to think about what would be better to do.

Does anyone know if Club Wyndham posts as 4X?

It’s not better after factoring in the loss of the 1.5 multiplier for travel reward redemption.

I got a 1.65 multiplier on my redemptions at the end of December and beginning of January.

The fixed 1.5 multiplier was hard to play with. It was set in stone until they took it away.

I suspect that with these new types of multipliers ("up to 2x") they will play a lot of games going forward and redemptions for more than 1x will become much rarer over time. There's just no reason to offer them...
