I wanted to ask Sheraton flex vacation plan points? When comparing to Sheraton floating weeks. Is this the same as, how RCI works with points in relation to weeks pool of resorts available or is this flex vacation plan internal point system of Sheraton?? Is this with interval points weeks pool and they work with a points system like rci? Is it the same?Or no not really??Can someone explain thanks..

Sheraton Flex is a points product you can purchase that gives you access to book eight Sheraton properties and Vistana's Beach Club from 12 months to 8 months as your home resort. You make these reservations with Vistana. The points are called HomeOptions. If you've purchased these direct from Vistana or they are otherwise in VSN, then you can also use them as StarOptions to book any Vistana resort at 8 months from checkin. You can also deposit them into Interval International for exchange. When exchanging through Interval International, you are making weeks based exchanges.

Here is an FAQ in the Vistana forum about Flex.

If you purchase Sheraton Flex resale, they won't be part of VSN and you can only reserve the group of nine resorts and exchange through II. You can't use them in VSN to reserve at any of the Westin properties or at Harborside Resort.

Oh wow thanks i didnt know that its not part of the Vistana network. Yep its a resale. So how do you exchange in II? U deposit your week and with trading power like RCI?

Look at that link I posted. It shows you how many HomeOptions/Points it takes to exchange Sheraton Flex through II. If you want points that you can use in VSN, you would be better to purchase a mandatory resale week somewhere like Westin Kierland Villas or Sheraton Vistana Villages (Bella or Key West). When you buy those resale, they come with the ability to use the Vistana network at 8 months.

I dont think its worth it. I have RCI in points thanks. I just think that II is better resorts
