Ever Have Builder's Remorse

You've done everything you need to do to build a new house.

But, now, you have finnally signed the contract with the builder. It says you are going to pay them beaucoup dollars over the next 180 days and you are going to have a new house.

You haven't even listed your present house.

Ever get cold feet?

Hi, I think that's probably a natural thing. Like, is this what I REALLY want? All that money? Permits, errors, misunderstandings?? The list could go on and on. Only you can decide if it is way to go. Good luck.

It sounds like you are having second thoughts.??? Take a step back and look things over.It could take a long time to sell your house. On the other side of the coin, building square feet costs are going up every day. Most builders want cost plus. It sounds like you liked your home you are in now from past posts. Only you know if you did the right move. Can you cxl. with the builder.? Most custom homes go over budget. Can you handle that.??? How long will it take to build the new house.? Are you locked in with a date with the builder that the house will be done. What about the end punch list.? I have built my own custom house as the main contracter with a builder as co builder. I had alot of problems with the builder. I should have built it myself. In the long run i have a great house. I was on top of things everyday. It took me 5 and a half months for it to be built. The average time where I live takes one year or more. Had to build the house to withstand 150 mile an hour winds. I built it for that. Yes, I am on the coast and a stones throw from the beach. Hope this helps. We are happy with our home. That is the main thing.
