MVC Reservation Confirmation Number for Vistana Reservation

Sorry if this has been asked before.
I reserved a Vistana villa for a friend in their name, and received the Vistana reservation with the 6-digit Vistana confirmation number.
(versus reserving in my name then changing it to their name)

However, since it is in their name - the reservation did not show up in my BonVoy account with the MVC number.
How to I get the MVC number for them in case they need for checkin (as I understand it can be an issue)?

I had the same type of situation in the past. I just logged in to Vistana and used the chat feature to ask for the Marriott confirmation number.

Thanks. I tried the chat with no luck. I called - they gave it to me.
I haven't called Owner Services in 10+ years - interesting.

Odd that the chat rep wasn't able to give it to you. Usually they are better versed in the program than the phone reps. Did you ask for an "Agent" in the chat or just try dealing with "Sunny" the auto chat bot?
 
I got to a Chat Agent, but cut off twice, and twice stated none available. I called at this point.
'Sunny' was not of use, but I knew that already.
 
After reading this thread, I tried Chat for the same issue. Worthless.
 
It takes days to get a change to a Marriott confirmation to reflect the new name of a guest. You change it in Sheraton/ Vistana and wait a ridiculously long time for the week to be typed in by someone who may not know how to spell or needs glasses.

I outlined a problem on TUG a while back with a guest I had with the name Joseph. I did it right on the Vistana side. Marriott typed it in several times incorrectly. His last name was misspelled twice, his first name was typed in as Josephy once. It was so ridiculous. I had to go back into Vistana each time and add the guest again. Vistana couldn't correct it, or maybe they refused. Not sure. It was a Sheraton Broadway Resort week.

I would bet he won't rent from me again. Just sayin'.
