Trying to understand online reservations

As background, I am Executive level and am wanting to reserve at either MCVI property in Aruba for October of 2026 (doesn't matter which days). For the past week I've been checking for availability at exactly 9:00am trying to get an opening using the 13 month window, but nothing shows up.

Are the rooms being gobbled up by Presidential owners at 14 months, deeded owners, or am I doing something completely wrong?

Also, what should I do to get a fighting chance at a reservation?

The Aruba properties don’t tend to release much, if anything at 13 months. Search at 9am when the 12 month window opens (use the “when can I reserve” tool online) and you should score what you seek.

I second the checking at 12 months out, but will add it can’t hurt to start checking several hours before 9am Eastern time because they do post earlier sometimes.

Just recently I was searching for a specific week at Son Antem on Mallorca. Nothing at 13 months out. I checked at 4:30am Eastern time on the 12-months out date because I was up early, and was surprised to see exactly what I wanted and several other options available!

Thanks for the tips guys. I have some serious surveilling to do over the next month.
A good pre-run would be to check Sept dates, 12 month inventory loads to spot trends. That will give you some insight into nabbing an Oct resy.

12 months is your best bet for the resorts outside the US not sure why. Plus they sometimes release early . I work at night and I pretty much make my reservations in the middle of the night. I booked Marbella Spain early in this morning for 9/6/26.

Never heard of Marriott 14 month reservation availability to anyone.

13 months with concurrent or consecutive reservations or 12 months for everyone (all reservations subject to availability).

14 months is not a thing for Abound.

13+ months is a thing for consecutive weeks. If you have 10 weeks that you wanted to book in a string and you owned the correct seasons to book them consecutively, you could start at 13 months and book out to 13months + 10 weeks, or however long you want. There may be an upper limit on length, but it probably doesn't matter for all but a very few.

Technically, I believe you can book up to a 21 night resy via Abound, so doing so at 13 months from check in date could eat up availability for the next guy wanting that last week when his 13 month window opens up.
