Will Wyndham Bonnet Creek be Removed from RCI Next Year?

I'm currently at Bonnet Creek and went to the sales pitch yesterday. The rep told me that they will be removing Wyndham Bonnet Creek from RCI starting next year. Is that true?

My magic 8 ball says highly doubtful.

Bonnet Creek is huge. I cannot imagine Wyndham not putting inventory out there. I can see them doing a 1-in-4 rule at Bonnet Creek to keep people from exchanging in over and over again. This would limit you to a stay every four years. I still don't see that happening. Salespeople lie. That's what they do; otherwise, how would they sell anything?

I'm guessing that you traded into Bonnet Creek via RCI for your current stay. Did you mention to the sales people that you love the resort and want to come back? If so, the sales people are just trying to scare you into buying.

The kernel of truth (which may just be inadvertent and not something the salesperson is aware of) is that there have been periods in the past when Bonnet Creek was pretty scarce in RCI for months at a time. I think it was during the post-COVID travel surge and points glut among Wyndham owners, and I assume so many owners were booking Bonnet Creek directly that there just wasn't much availability left there when it came time for Wyndham to bulk deposit resorts to RCI during that timeframe. [Edit: I checked old posts in the Sightings forum and it looks like it was pretty scarce in RCI for much of 2022 and even 2023.] And of course, Wyndham controls what units and dates get deposited to RCI and they could change their formula for deciding that at any time. But just like pretty much every other Club Wyndham managed resort, because CW is affiliated with RCI those resorts will remain affiliated with RCI, it's just deposits that may fluctuate from time to time.

No, very likely not true.
Only saying because you traded in easily with RCI and poof! It will be GONE !

someone told me bonnet creek was blocked off from non owners during the summer this year? (along with ocean walk)?

if thats the case, that would certainly impact the rental side of things but one would imagine that results in even more "excess inventory" to be available to "rent" via wyndham or rci?

We are non-owners at Bonnet Creek. Our 1 & only stay there so far (January 2025) was for 2 weeks.

First week 2BR reservation was 7,500 RCI points plus exchange fee.

Second week 2BR reservation was RCI Extra Vacation for about $840 (after adding tax & subtracting RCI Platinum discount).

At check-in, we were invited to some kind of update (i.e., sales presentation). We said "maybe" but never followed up & neither did the sign-up people, so that was that.

Our unit was OK or better. Very nice, actually. If it shows up on RCI's bargain lists again. we'll consider reserving it again.

Does this resort take exchange through II?
No. Wyndham deposits to RCI almost exclusively. There are just a few Wyndham resorts that you will see in II. Bonnet Creek is not one of them.

The summer Owner Priority Dates are only for the July 4th and Labor Day holidays.

As non-owner usage, Wyndham Extra Holidays and RCI are also restricted from Owner Priority Dates.

I’m able to deposit my club Wyndham points in II but it’s a pain it takes multiple phone calls until someone knows how to do it l. I still have an II account tied to my Club Wyndham. They tried to change me I fought it.
