Going to Kauai 1 week at Princeville and 1 week at Sheraton can anyone tell me what type of coffee makers each place has and any recommendations for building numbers to request.

Thanks

Princeville had (last visit) Mr. Coffee-type coffee makers -- flat bottom paper filters.

Buildings 3, 6, and 7 are the buildings with the best water views, but not all units in those buildings have those excellent views.

Vacationtime1 is correct on the coffee maker type and the building with the water views. fwiw, we like the 3rd floor of building 4 which has a sunset view over the golf course looking towards Mt Makana (Bali Hai) and if you look to the right, a nice slice of ocean. we are definitely spoiled by our OF units at WKORVN and as Princeville has an over-ocean rather than an oceanfront location, we tend to choose the mountain views with a beautiful sunset over the units directly facing the ocean. Here's what the water view looks like from that building/floor and a great sunset pic:

Sheraton Kauai was a drip style coffee maker. I don't really know the brand. Here is a screen shot from one of my videos.

Are there ANY Vistana properties which have something other than a drip coffeemaker with a basket style filter? If there are I don’t think I have stayed at that property.

I’ve had a K-cup machine in my room at WKV once. I was able to get it swapped for a standard coffee machine. I’ve only seen flat filter style at Vistana (but cone at Wyndham).

Just returned from Princeville and stayed in Building 5 on 3rd floor. My view was of parking lot and ocean view. It was a nice view but Building 6 and 7 were better. I was told when reserving, ask for ocean view. End units of building 7 and 6 has bluf view. In order to get those, you gotta request them.

I suspect the best views also go to owners who have an early timestamp. If you are booking with StarOptions or an II exchange, your chances of getting the better room views are lower. So requesting them may not even help.

Definitely Timestamp - there are some instances with the studios where I have met people in B7 HH section where they got a surprise&delight - but that is rare compared to Timestamp (at least thru 2025).

Exactly. The days of requests being honored are long past for most resorts. Well, most anything, actually.
