We finally did it! We actually got to enjoy a vacation at a timeshare. With all the chaos from the flood at our home, some illness, and the last-minute cancellation from our dog sitter, it has been a year and a half, or maybe even longer, since we’ve had a vacation.

The views were absolutely fabulous, and the unit was just lovely. The Plantation Beach Club at Indian River is definitely one of my top favorites! Tucked away within the Marriott complex, there’s so much to enjoy.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about some amazing trades for the rest of the year: Sunrise at Marco Island, Galleon at Key West, and even another trip back here, plus hopefully more adventures to come!

I'm curious about your Galleon. What dates, what size, and how many TPUs did you have to trade to get it?

And how did you accumuate so many TPUs to be able to reserve all those weeks? Did you keep extending for years?

I traded for it through the HGVC RCI portal for 5440 points. It is a 1 bedroom, early fall. I only once was able to get into the Galleon before, years ago with II, using a eplus 2 days prior. These days that wouldn't work.

I had saved points from last year in my HGVC. Even with no saved points I can usually do 2 rci vacations and one within HGVC or if I just use HGVC I can get 4-6 vacations.

I would agree that E-Plus most definitely would not allow you to do that. Because I came to the realization that I really didn't want to do anything Disney, I wanted to see what my Animal Kingdom Kidani Village 1 BR savanna view (worth 319 poimts according to the points chart) might get me. Pretty much nothing. I got a studio fall week at BeachPlace Towers. E-Plus is garbage in my opinion.

Looks beautiful there - never seen these particular timeshare resorts before - seems like they have some really nice locations on the Florida coastlines. I will have to see if I can find any availabilities through my Wyndham RCI account.

Years ago E-Plus was great. I got into many great resorts last minute.

It will be written by the end of this week. I have it on my calendar to remind me.
