Hi there,

We are HGVC owners and thinking of using Interval for an exchange.

Any tips? Reviews?

Thanks!

Dom

Hi there,

We are HGVC owners and thinking of using Interval for an exchange.

Which Hilton Grand Vacation Club property do you own?

There are two major timeshare exchange companies - Interval International and RCI.

Most timeshare resorts are affiliated with one or both. Hilton Grand Vacation Club properties are affiliated with RCI however some of the affiliated properties have dual membership.

Any tips? Reviews?

Thanks!

Dom

Where do you want to go?

I will add to @alwysonvac post above, RCI comes free with HGVC membership, but you will need to enroll/pay for II membership (if your HGVC TS is II eligible)

Just some recent changes for II this year.
Interval International has shortened late deposits (30–8 days before check-in), raised internal exchange fees (Marriott now $199), and limited Flexchange to 30 days or less. Trading power was recalculated, making it harder to trade up in unit size.

Interval used to give higher trading power for deposits made 6–12 months out, often letting you trade a 1BR into a 2BR during shoulder seasons. Now, even early deposits are getting less power, and upgrades (like 1BR to 2BR) are harder unless your original week is peak season or high demand. However, worth exploring at least a year to see what it has to offer. I know Disney is easier to get since it’s become overpriced and owners are seemingly going other places. Also lots of delux inventory available on Disneys website due to Universal Epic so they are dumping into II from what i have seen.

If your Hgvc trades in Interval I would pay for an account. There are many more quality resorts in Interval versus RCI. Also they offer extra week certificates at times for deposits or no reason at all. Whereas the extra week certificates are not for the best weeks or places there are needles in the haystack that make this a nice feature.

Totally agree. Try a year to check it out for sure. I’m sure there are several hidden gems to be had vs RCI.
