My wife and I have timeshare with MVC. To expand our options, I thought about enrolling in Vistana Signature Experience but have doubts. What are your experiences with
Vistana? Is there a separate membership fee for registration or an annual Maintenace fee? Are there more resorts available?
Thanks for your time

If your MVC ownership is enrolled in Abound, you can use Club Points to book into Vistana resorts through the Abound system, but availability is fairly limited compared to booking via Vistana's system. However, to have full direct access into VSE you need to actually own a Vistana timeshare product, whether that is a deed at one of the Sheraton/Westin/Vistana resorts, or one of the Sheraton/Westin points products. As with any timeshare product, those all come with annual Maintenance Fees. There is no way to have direct access into the VSE system with just an MVC ownership.

I will have a deeded Sheraton Broadway. Do I have access? What can you do with VSE?

Resale? or Developer purchase? SBP is voluntary so no VSE access with resale. You need Staroptions to book a VSE property

Got it it’s just another name for StarOptions - thought something new that gives you beyond those Vistana properties.

I guess the main question is, what more are you wanting to do that your MVC ownership doesn't provide? As noted, if your MVC is enrolled in Abound, you can already access Vistana properties using Club Points and you can even exchange into them using Interval International if you have a deeded MVC week. You would also not have any exchange fees.

I think that we are enrolled in Abound. I did ask a Marriott Rep. if we were enrolled 2 years ago but she wasn't sure. I have to check it out. Thanks for clarifying the VSE. I'm glad that I didn't complete their registration form.

I just thought that the VSE system might have other resorts of interest. My wife and I have been MVC members since 2012 but never took the time to educate ourselves about Timesharing.
Nevertheless, we are thankful that we found TUG. I'm not sure if we have a deeded MVC week. We do own points, and I think we are enrolled in Abound. We have to check to make sure. Thank you for replying!

If you have MVC points by definition you are in Abound. Enrollment is a term that applies to an MVC (and now Vistana week) which can be converted to points, but you would have to elect for the points.

Thanks for clarifying that jabberwocky.

You just made another thread about being ripped off, and clearly have a very poor understanding of what you own specifically, and timeshare in general. You should not spend any money until you spend many, many, months understanding your situation, and receive positive feedback from TUG about any plan to spend any more money on timeshare.
