That is who issued the certificate todayThe only resort certificates we got free came from Wyndham timeshares (sales pitch freebies, etc.).
We recently bought 2 certificates from the Resort Certificates website because they were having a sale ($500 for 2 certificates, each good for 12 months).

I got one many years ago and it turned out to be worthless. The restrictions on when or what made it unusable. We have 9 months to use it
Good for 8/7 nights
It's just RCI inventory. Mostly stuff that shows up in Last Call, or worse because you may need to pay an upgrade fee. You can tell it is RCI given that it indicates "Panorama Travel Solutions LLC".We have 9 months to use it

Mine were worthless this year because they now charge ridiculous fees to use themThese are worth 250 each if you use them!

I don't know the ins & outs of how it happened, but I was able to use a guest certificate without any extra fees or costs to get my daughter-in-law a nice 2BR-2BA unit in Kissimmee FL.I understand that for it to be free, it usually needs to be a studio with a checkin in the next 45 days. Anything else usually requires some type of additional fee.
I think this may be a different kind of certificate than the OP is asking about? Not sure, but I think they got theirs for free from attending an owner update.I don't know the ins & outs of how it happened, but I was able to use a guest certificate without any extra fees or costs to get my daughter-in-law a nice 2BR-2BA unit in Kissimmee FL.
I think the unit I reserved for her was already on sale through some kind of Armed Forces Vacation Club special.
Regardless, $250 total for a full 2BR week at High Point World Resort is still an outstanding value.

It was a resort certificate. Typing guest certificate was a mistake.I think this may be a different kind of certificate than the OP is asking about? Not sure, but I think they got theirs for free from attending an owner update.
But was it one you paid for? Or was the $250 to assign the guest? It was a resort certificate. Typing guest certificate was a mistake.

I bought it via internet from Resort Vacation Certificates when the certificates were on sale at 2 for $500.But was it one you paid for? Or was the $250 to assign the guest?
The only thing that would be similar are ACs in II. There is nothing that they give away or sell that I really know of.Mine was given to us by Wyndham as part of a timeshare update. It was free. Then you go on a website very similar to RCI last calls. There they list what’s available for free and what’s available for additional charges. We opted to book a 2/2 at Sheraton Vistana in Orlando with it. The final cost was a $199 upgrade fee plus taxes. I believe the grand total came to $228/$230.
I was wondering if Marriott did anything similar?
Thanks
The certufucate they gave us had a 90 day window, so I checked it every few days until something popped up that I was interested in.The only thing that would be similar are ACs in II. There is nothing that they give away or sell that I really know of.
How far in advance did you book your week at Sheraton Vistana Resort? Was it within 45 days?

Mine was also free in Wyndham Pagosa 2 years ago. This year they wanted $700. Both were from attending an update. Two years ago , they offered $150-$250 for special dates or units outside 30 days but we checked in on a Sunday 15 days before at no charge.I don't know the ins & outs of how it happened, but I was able to use a guest certificate without any extra fees or costs to get my daughter-in-law a nice 2BR-2BA unit in Kissimmee FL.

Did you get the 2/6 day one? Very curious about that oneMine was also free in Wyndham Pagosa 2 years ago. This year they wanted $700. Both were from attending an update. They now have tripled the fees. They promised 2 bedroom units , but now everything is way more and hard to get a 2 bedroom. I ended up using less than $400 in RCI points instead of paying $700.
I am staying at Wyndham today and they switched to a 2-6 day certificate only for Wyndham properties
