Options for our dates look like Patriot's Place, Greensprings, Parkside, King's Creek, or Historic Powhatan. Reviews for each of these on TripAdvisor are kind of all over the place. We have only stayed at the Powhatan in the past, but it is the most expensive option and doesn't look like it is necessarily the highest rated. Traveling with 2 elementary-school aged kids, but resort amenities don't matter as much to me as cleanliness, as we will be keeping busy outside of the resort and we will be traveling when it will be too cold for swimming anyways.

I personally choose patriots place solely based on the fact that I don’t want to pay $25 to $30 in resort fees for “mini golf… etc”

We prefer greensprings. Great outdoor and also indoor pool if bad weather and nice, updated units. I’ve stayed there for weeks at a time and we’re headed back this summer.
Kings creek was ok, but units dated. Patriots place and Powhatan would be lower on my list.

Patriots' Place units are quite nice. However, there are no elevators and even ground floor units have some steps up from the parking lot and sidewalk. Patriots' Place has almost no amenities, just an outdoor pool.

What month are you going?

Going in December.

Leaning towards Patriot's Place now.

In Williamsburg during the Months of June and July it is going to be hot, humid and hazy.

Marriott is way better, blows away anything Wyndham. Just sayin'. Governor's Green would be my choice for Wyndham. Kingsgate is nice enough, but there are stairs, so request bottom floor, unless you like lugging luggage up and down stairs.

Which Marriott do you recommend? Ford?

I am at Marriott Ford’s Colony right now. By far the best TS rooms in Williamsburg. (via II) Governors Green would be my next choice.

Is Marriott available in RCI?

Not that I’m aware of, but I have an interval account also

Marriott Ford’s Colony is a very nice-our fav in Wllbg. With Rci, we like greensprings and governors green above the others.

How do people like Holiday Inn Club?

Have anyone stay at Vacation Villages in Williamsburg or at the Bluegreen resort at Parkside ?

I have stayed at vacation villages in Williamsburg a few years ago … I own in Orlando with them and it was a inside offer, we liked it very much, resort fee was only $30 a week, I believe, but check me on it. Very clean, nice

Yes, we've stayed at VV Williamsburg a couple of times recently. We like it! They let you bring your dog for a fee. The dog-friendly units are all the way in the back, which is fine bc there's a nice green area there. We haven't done much in terms of the activities or anything, but we like the resort. If you're not bringing a pet, you would probably get a location closer to the front and the main building.

Otherwise, agree that the Marriott Ford's Colony is REALLY nice, although the location is farther out than many other resorts.

Thanks, we have passed VV Williamsburg resort many of time over the years. But we have never seen many vehicles entering or leaving the resort.

I'm sure you're right, your pet friendly unit was at the back but, I've hosted quite a few guests who were put in pet friendly units at the front of the resort, the first right after turning right in front of the check-in.

The funny thing is that we got the exact same unit both times we stayed there. That whole back row seemed to be pet-friendly units.
