We are planning a special trip with family to Maui, and we will be short points. We have never looked into renting/buying points for any trips. Where do we begin to look? If and when we buy additional points for this trip, will they simply be transferred to our account and be part of our Presidential status?

When it says verified, does that mean it is valid and not a scam?
You have to look under list of verified sellers. Some scammers list "verified" when they are not verified sellers. To be verified, the seller needs to submit driver license and MVC account information to the administrator (Steven Ting). After verification, the name will be listed under verified sellers.

I believe everyone has to be verified now in order to post a listing.

Comparison shop and look at your costs renting a week on redweek or booking with cash on Marriott or another travel site.

Nothing is guaranteed. I have rented from owners in small batches initially, then used for larger rentals. Also, I have rented from people I either had a prior unrelated transaction with, or felt comfortable based on their presence here that I did not think they were a scammer. If you have any doubts or questions reach out here and to Steven. Never give any passwords or anything beyond your account # and week ID.
