What day of the week do timeshares on Oahu start?

I thought that they were Friday starts, and that week 51 for example this year, was the 12th - 19th, but when I was looking at Redweek, everything is Saturday to Saturday.

Yes, but it is also on each resort page. I can not say what day of the week all HHV HW checkin day w/o looking myself at the resort pages. You can do that for any resort.

Ahh ok, so each resort has a set checkin/checkout home week day of the week. So someone at Grand Waikikian cannot have Friday to Friday and someone else at GW has Sunday to Sunday?

I think that is a true statement for all US resorts. I know that the Scotland resort Lodges have different checkin days for different lodges.

The GW has a Saturday check-in for HW for both PH and regular rooms.

Yes, this is one downside to using HW. You have to book exactly what you own....set check in day, exactly the room type that you own, has to be 7 nights, and only in the season that you own (fixed weeks are just that week for the year which can change a bit year to year based on the calendar)

I have owned at Lagoon Tower since before they opened. Never once have I actually made a Home Week reservation. I checkin whatever day allows for the cheapest plane ticket. I usually stay 14 days. The unit I reserve depends on how many friends and family members I’m bringing. I love this flexibility. The downside of course is making a club reservation for Lagoon Tower is brutal.

I think I will enjoy my 23,000 points for 2 bedroom premier at Grand Waikikian Christmas event week. I have the hardest week as my home week, so any other time should be easy enough.

Oh yeah. You know, I knew that. Blanked. Hokulani & GI seem to have a few not common things in common. Idk if it is b/c they were built at the same time or b/c they both have well-above-avg Japanese ownership. Americans fly west to get to HI. Japanese fly east. ?? So if you leave Tokyo on Sat AM, when do you get to HI?

If you have a set week, your reservation is already held for 2 years in advance. You'll see this when you look at your reservations. I had week 49 at the GI and it was already booked, and the dates were set.

On Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, most of Oahu timeshares are checked in. Again, though, this depends on the resort, so it's better to check directly with the rental property.
