Is anyone aware of which properties have an adult only pool? I am only wondering because I have been told none of the properties have an adult pool, however, we own at Aruba Surf Club and there is an adult only pool there.

MVC Ko Olina has a "quiet" pool but it does not explicitly say it is for adults only. Westin Mission Hills has an adult pool at the end of the property back in the days and I haven't checked out whether it has lifted the label in my last visit a couple of years ago. It was a great pool to do laps in and it was super quiet. From my understanding, resorts shy away from calling it an adult pool due to discrimination lawsuit. Don't ask me why, but it is one of the frivolous lawsuits that attorneys hope to get rich by going after the deep pockets, keep suing until you win.
I understand that it has to do with the Fair Housing Act. There was a lawsuit about this at either an apartment building or condo where they wanted to restrict certain areas and they lost. The actual decision might have been based on a shaky interpretation of the law, but most HOA want to avoid any chance of litigation.MVC Ko Olina has a "quiet" pool but it does not explicitly say it is for adults only. I think they just call it the Lap Pool? It is still in the main pool section where the pool bar and all the activities happen. We've also had basketballs come flying in on us from people who missed when playing basketball in the hoop at the Canyon PoolCanyon Villas has a quiet pool area as well
Its the relaxation pool at the very far left end if you are driving in. Its more like a giant hot-tub than a pool and there's no chance of stray basketballs from the Canyon pool hoops.I think they just call it the Lap Pool? I think it is a US thing. I find Fairway Villas to be an odd exception with a pool labeled as Adult Pool. I doubt they enforce that unless someone complains. I find it best to have the resort number for texting when we are at the pool. Then you can just send off a text and they can have the red shirts (security) walk through. While confrontation isn't fun, you can also mention to the kids or the kids parents that it is the quiet pool and rowdiness isn't appropriate.Thank you all for your replies. We are currently at a resort with a quiet pool, but we often have unattended children jumping, splashing, and in general just being kids, despite there being multiple other pools, beach where children can play volleyball, basketball, use the slide, etc. A lot of multiple week owners travel here to escape the winter and would appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the sun and a serene experience. Security does not seem to have much of a presence, so they request that we call to alert them. It gets a bit frustrating and at the weekly meeting, we often hear guests asking for an adult only pool and management counters that Marriott doesn't have adult pools....Since we also own at Aruba Surf Club and there is an adult only pool, I began to wonder.
OK....same situation, but lets say they were three (or four) young shapely women (20s) in bikinis, who jumped in and began roughhousing. Do you still complain?? ;-)We had a situation a couple years ago at Westin Kierland Villas when at the Quiet Pool. Three (or four) young men (20s) came barreling into the pool and jumped in. Mostly all at once. They were roughhousing with each other. Another guest told them it was the quiet pool. They laid off for a few minutes but it started again. When a security person walked through, he mostly ignored them until we said something to him and he told them to stop. He stayed around the pool for a while longer and was on his radio about something. They mainly stopped and then went to the hot tub.
Jeremy might not, but I would.OK....same situation, but lets say they were three (or four) young shapely women (20s) in bikinis, who jumped in and began roughhousing. Do you still complain?? ;-)
There is a pool at the far end of one of the buildings. I am sure you have it in one of your videos.I think they just call it the Lap Pool? I think you are referring to the Spa Pool or Spool. I am not sure that is age restricted other than not recommended for children under a certain age. There is a pool at the far end of one of the buildings. I am sure you have it in one of your videos.
