I am not aware of anywhere at Atlantis you can swim beside the tank like that. They do have waterslides that go through the shark tank.

I haven't been there in years but I believe that spot is at the bottom of one of the slides in the waterpark.

That place exists but it’s in a weird place and easy to miss. I think it’s at the base of the power tower area of slides. (At least it existed the last time I went to Atlantis with my wife 12 years ago). Either that or I have a false memory…

Marriott does have that photo on their website for Atlantis. So it has to be somewhere. Though I am not sure where. I wasn't aware that there was an aquarium area over near the Power Tower.

I found it! You take the abyss slide in the power tower, it’s called the Cenote:
