Vistana and MVC website outage

I got an alert on both my MVC and Vistana apps that both the apps and both websites will be down this weekend, from Friday June 7 at 10 PM ET to Sunday June 9 at 10 pm ET.

Before you ask, I have no idea what that means for booking reservations that would normally come available during the outage. Your guess is as good as mine. Try calling, or try doing it right when the site comes back up. (Along with everyone else, probably resulting in a crashed website, lol.)

Just figured I’d get the word out…

Edit: apparently owner services will be closed this weekend as well. So don’t try calling.

It's back up now both VSN and MVC. Pretty slow right now. Surprised and delighted that all my existing reservations are still showing there.

Not so much. It's just that I'm easily surprised and delighted when there isn't a dumpster fire after an IT outage for an upgrade.

Both MVC and VSN are working for me right now. Not terribly slow, either, though not as fast as I've seen it on occasions.
 
Now functional but still slow. The circles go round and round....

The Vistana site is not fully functional for me. The section listing existing reservations is gone. There is also no search functionality.
 
Trying my first Marriott points reservation as a Kierland owner. See a 2025 place I want. Get to the bottom of the screen to continue the reservation and ... I see a spinning circle briefly below the continue button, then nothing.

Anything y'all can think of that this Marriott newbie might be doing wrong? I def have enough points and they show on the Marriott site.

Marriott.com site is the hotel end and it is irrelevant whether they have availability. It is not owner inventory.

I don't have problem with MVC reservation system. What dates are you looking at?

Yes. It's the same login I've used for years to book my vistana home or star option reservations.

I converted my 2025 WKV to mvc points in April.

Now I login to vistana, scroll to Use Club Points section and select Search & Book Reservation. This opens the owners.marriottvacationclub.com webpage. From there I am able to search Hilton Head and find which locations have availability next June. The required points for a 2br at harbour pointe are half of what I have available checking in Jun 14. But nothing happens after I hit the proceed button.

I've tried in both my Android phone and Windows notebook.

I tried, Harbour Point with June 14th check-in, requiring 1225 Club points. You are right, it just spins. Why don't you call or use Chat?
 
Do they have weekend hours? I thought call center service was m-f. The chat button I found seemed more of a bot with canned decision tree.

Funny thing is, through the last few years of vistana reservation system issues, I've been lucky. Not once have I had trouble reserving on my first attempt.

Chat hours are 7 days a week and pretty long hours. If you type "agent" it will ask you if you want to talk to a live person.
 
Chat closed at 5 Eastern today. Maybe it was meant to be and tomorrow will have a sat check in.
