Trying to book a 1-night reservation to tie together my home week and an Interval reservation, which I've done several times before. I can't book anything less than a 6-night reservation in the 2nd half of March or almost all of April.

I'm going to call later today when I get a chance. I don't see this at Grande Vista or Harbour Lake. The Palms resorts are much smaller and Lakeshore is kinda wonky inventory-wise so probably not comparable resorts.

Did you check Marriott.com? I'm seeing Cypress Harbor for one night for for under $300 on some nights.

That actually would be my preferred route as it's cheaper usually for a weekend night than Abound points...no availability for that night.

So I spent 30 minutes on the phone with someone who was competent...even with escalation there is evidently a 6-night minimum block on Cypress Harbour mid-March through the end of April.

I'm wondering if is this is Encore / Preview Package related as they sell a lot of those in sales in Orlando and that's a prime time to book them.

If you're an owner and visit every year, I would email the property GM and see if there's anything they can do to block you in the same unit for both weeks and pay for the extra night out of pocket. It will save them a room turn on a busy couple of days.

These minimum night stays are quite common now. There have been multiple threads on the subject.

I've been doing 7 night encores at CH for spring break/Easter the last few years. Next year we already have a spring break week booked at Sabal Palms, so we'll be doing the encore in June instead. It will be our last encore as we're sick of the lies.

It has zero to do with Encore packages; those are from separate inventory. Per the disclosures in Trust documents, component locations can set minimum night requirements should they so determine to do so. You are trying to book during a high demand spring break time frame.

Yes, I'm well aware of the policies and when I'm booking.

Orlando has tons of inventory across the MVC ecosystem, so much inventory that I can usually use the under 60-day discount. Out of the nine Orlando resorts this only applies to Cypress Harbour...just seems like a strange anomaly to me.

It is odd for Orlando, but it still has nothing to do with Encore inventory. That inventory is from the sales dept.
