has anyone figured out a way to have the notification go to multiple phones? we have four people on our deed, so we'd like to have each owner be able to login to the system without relying on me to be available to give them the authorization code that only goes to my phone.

In my experience two factor identification only goes to a single phone.

However, each person on the deed should be able to have their own HGV logon, which would be linked to their own phones. My wife and I each our our logon.

Two factor authentication is disabled on my account. Maybe you can just shut it off.

I won't use two factor authentication on my account.
I doubt my evil twin will use it for secret bookings.

Similarly, why do desk clerks need to see your DL?
Is someone else going to show up to check in?
.

Potentially. Though I think it's more to prevent you getting around the renting restrictions or GC restrictions by telling people to just pretend to be you.

oh, i'm sure i could, but that kind of defeats the purpose of it. actually, not 'kind of', but completely.
defeating the, ummmm, "purpose" of 2 factor authentication is a great joy in life. Just yesterday, I called about an appt. I used my phone, the one they have on my acct as MY PHONE #. Eventually, as I expected, the receptionist asked me for my phone #. I said "You have my phone # & the phone # I am calling from is the one you have." I think next, she needed to still fill in that "2nd factor" box, so she asked for my zip. I gave it, wondering "Do they really not have Caller-ID on their phones?".

Later, wrapping up, she asked me "Is this # you're calling from the one I should call to tell you about the appt?"
So, they do have Caller-ID. They do know I am calling from the phone # on my account. This exact thing happens all the time.
It is pure mindlessness to constantly ask people for their phone # when they know we are calling from it. Thus are many of these "purposes".

For logging into financial sites it makes sense and actually does work as it should. I'm not a fan, but some sites require it, so I go with it, and it works just fine. And, in reality, it does increase security to some degree.

Cheers.

imo, it makes sense for any login i don't want hacked.

You can set this up under Account Information...

oh!?! let me try that, thanks!

EDIT: apparently I have done this in the past, but at list one of the listed users has tried to login and been given an error message:

EDIT2: I talked to customer service and they said only 2 emails can be on the account, even though I've already added 2 "additional" on the online authorized users page. I think it was the rep's first week, so he may not know, and I think his tech support team only works the weekdays. Some progress...

Good to know we can do at least 2 on our own and please report back if you are able to get more than 2 via customer service.

For your situation, 2 is still better than 1 (not sure if your other co-owners are couples etc and can share the second login)

to clarify, in my case, i had to contact customer support to get the second one to work. as far as I know now, the setup on the website did nothing.

i haven't verified yet that the action the rep took actually works. I'll try to report back results.

yup, 2nd login worked. haven't tried calling back during normal weekday business hours to try to get a 3rd user added.
