Today the Chiefs out coach and out play their opponent.Congratulations to the Chiefs
The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers aren't considered a professional team? The players and coaches are employees and getting paid.Dinner the other night:
DD: I can't believe Mom, she's talking about Travis Kelce and how he only needed 16 yards to reach his 8th consecutive 1,000 yard season, etc, etc. And DD said she's wondering - who is this woman talking..
DH: Who is this woman and what did you do with my wife?
Having lots of fun this year. Nebraska doesn't have a pro team, Chiefs are the most likely favorite around here. But my son-in-law is die-hard Cowboys fan. Someone's always happy, someone not. I'm a NH/MA transplant so grew up with Patriots (everyone has a Patriots shirt, kids and grandkids). Oy if my mother ever knew I'd be rooting for the Chiefs!
Go Chiefs!
You are joking, right? The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers aren't considered a professional team? The players and coaches are employees and getting paid.
Yes and no.... Well the players aren't getting paid directly by the University but they are certainly getting paid. College football isn't amateur anymore. You are joking, right?
That is so funny. You forgot to include the SEC Confetence. The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers aren't considered a professional team? The players and coaches are employees and getting paid.

Are the glory days over for the Cornhuskers? Sure feels like it. And, the Chiefs? meh. Hoping the 49er's will pull off another come from behind, if necessary. Quite a bit. Age, experience, training, coaching, time requirement (15-20 hours a week of class time plus outside assignments). Only 1.6% of D1 college football players ever make an NFL roster. I enjoy both NFL and college football. Why does it matter if the college players are getting paid and aren’t “amateurs”? What good is that designation to a college football player? All that does is let everyone else get all the money instead of the guys that we pay to watch. IMO, the NCAA gave up the right to call anything “amateur” when they started making billions of dollars from the sport.Yes and no.... It does lead to ask the question what is the difference between the two?
Talking about Taylor Swift is political? It doesn't seem to fit the definition at all "a subtly aimed political message which is intended for, and can only be understood by, a particular group"Let's not go down the Taylor Swift rabbit hole - it's an obvious dog whistle.
I think it will be hilarious when a college player winds up taking a pay cut after being drafted or as a free agent in the NFL or whatever the XFL/USFL Merger is called. And the Big Ten, and the Big 12 and the ACC and the pac 2 and the AAC and the………..
