Hello! I bought a $1600 VIP after my trip to Myrtle beach (first time share presentation). I’m planning on coming to Maui in December and have a room at Grand Wailea. Are there other HGV properties that I should consider looking at? I’m looking for a very laid back R&R experience. Thanks!

If you want to use all or part of your VIP while in Hawaii and want R&R away from hustle and bustle, I would suggest Kings Land in Waikoloa for a non owner. The VIP could also be used at the Grand Islander at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Or half half.

If you are not planning to use the VIP on this trip. I would recommend Bay Club. The closest experience to Grand Wailea would be Hilton Waikoloa Hotel.

Please be aware its 7 nights maximum, 3 night minimum.

Maui wasn't in my VIP book, but when you call, they sometimes offer additional options.

So, there is no incentive to get a 1-bedroom, unless you're going to Grand Waikikian.

Please read the contract and get a feel for it.

I thought that this was going to be a thread about basic physical properties. I was going to add Mass and Length. But seems it's about something else.

Cheers.

Time waits for no one.

Lol this was my first post and not sure how I made the title time. I’m already booked at Maui for 7 days at grand Wailea but wasn’t sure if I should ask for a different location

Grand Wailea is not a timeshare, but it is awesome hotel. I would be happy with that location if HGV is putting you up there for 7 nights. Just don't plan to have multiple bedrooms, kitchen etc..
For a timeshare location, we really like Kingsland on the Big Island, but that is a different experience than the Grand Wailea.

Interestingly, recently saw 'The Hooters" in concert and learned that one of the members of that band was a co-writer on this song, and they did their version of it.

Another member wrote the Joan Osborne song "One of Us" and they also did that.

Cheers.

It’s just me and a friend and yes they said it’s just a hotel, which is totally fine with me. Just want a nice getaway

it's a lovely hotel and somewhat exclusive area. The O'ahu hotels are city based and not what you are looking for. The Big Island hotels are also nice but I would venture you'll be quite happy with your choice.

thank you so much!!

Time after time I have always enjoyed spending time at The Grand Wailea. If you have time this weekend watch the Adam Sandler movie Just Go With It. It was filmed at the Grand Wailea a long time ago.

I own a timeshare on the Big Island and I spend a lot of time visiting that island. I also love spending time on Oahu. However, if someone was giving me a free stay with the choice between Kings Land in Waikoloa or another BI Hilton, the timeshares at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, or 7 nights at The Grand Wailea I would spend my time at The Grand Wailea. I'm actually surprised that The Grand Wailea is one of your options. But, considering the need to get travelers back to Maui may have made The Grand Wailea a timely option.

Heck, if you have the time do The Grand Wailea and then spend a few days on The Big Island and a few days on Oahu. The islands are so different and unique that experiencing the different islands this time will help you decide where to return in the future. I'm sure you will return when time permits.

I hope your decision isn't time consuming as I'm sure you will be pleased with your time at any of your choices.

Time. You will be on island time my friend!

I must be really old. How did everyone miss this

Movie ”In Time” starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. Waaay too many time puns. And yet I’ve watched it numerous times.
