3 days only - $50 off getaways
I see the offer before logging on but when I log in, I don't see the offer and if I go all the way through to the part where it asks for a CC, I don't see the discount applied.
When I proceeded to the payment page this appears and I was able to select the discount.Nothing comes up for me to select the discount. Maybe I will try on a different browser.
I've definitely seen this in some but not all getaways. Not sure but I think the prices are somewhat higher this week than last, but maybe I am wrong, or it could be to accommodate the sale.
We booked a 2 bedroom getaway for Sheraton Vistana Resort on August 22 for $379. That same unit is now $507. $457 with the 3 day discount so not too too bad.I've definitely have seen this in some but not all getaways.
Sorry, I am not that familiar with II myself. Just started using it recently. I am sure others will comment with a solution. No it doesn't show on my non platinum vistana account either.
Good for you, not great for those booking now thinking they are getting a discount. II does this all the time, increase the prices just in time for a sale.We booked a 2 bedroom getaway for Sheraton Vistana Resort on August 22 for $379. Correction on my prior post. I don't see the offer in our Marriott corp II account (which is upgraded to II Platinum), but I do see it in our VSN corp account (no upgrades).
This is so true. It is a big mistake to think you got a deal just because there was a sale. I also bought a getaway last week that is a better deal than you can get now.Good for you, not great for those booking now thinking they are getting a discount. I think someone should bring these “sales” to the attention of the FTC.This is so true. It is a big mistake to think you got a deal just because there was a sale. I also bought a getaway last week that is a better deal than you can get now.
If you see something that is a good deal and it brings you happiness, buy it. But you are not shopping smart if you only shop during a “sale.”
