Let's Play Connections

Ok, the green category was just wacky today, and the one I got last only by default.
The others didn't jump out at me, but were doable with some thought. The yellow category shows my age, that I can remember such things :)

Blew it today. Rocky start, then it fell apart and I’m not sure why. I never even started the purple category and it should have been obvious!

The Connections will be easy for me one day, hard the next, and Rick is sometimes the opposite. He will get a connection I just cannot get at all. It's strange.
 
I’m beginning to think I’m not very good at this game. I only got one connection before bombing out. :(
 
I just gave up today. Just tapped random words. The overlap words I understand, to make the puzzle fun. But there were too many references to cultural phenomena I don’t follow.
 
Blah. Had an idea of some of the connection categories, but couldn’t make anything work after the creepy crawlies.

I bombed today. Got one group, and kept missing on 2 others. No way would I know the hardest purple one.

I think I bombed yesterday and the day before, didn't get a chance to post.

Today! Maybe I should wait til after I've had my coffee more often. (The last 2 days weren't there for me).

After a dismal two days, back to figuring it out except for the usual default purple category.

I blew it yesterday, like a lot of you. I don't listen to rap music, so it was a big loss for me.
