Southwest Airlines $500 gift cards for $429.00 at Costco 4/29-4/30 only

I almost bought a few but don't like the restrictions on the SW gift cards vs. the Alaska Airlines gift cards that Costco has been selling. For the Alaska Airlines ones I can load it to my AA account wallet and use it to buy tickets for myself or anyone else. The SW gift cards are tied to a single SW account. So if I use it to buy a ticket for myself, it can only be used in the future to buy tickets for myself. I also have to keep track of the value myself, and enter in the card number every time I make a purchase, versus being able to load the value to my online account. Not a big issue perhaps, especially if the ticket you purchase is over $500, but annoying enough that I didn't want to deal with it.

So if you don't fly SW why are you worried about using SW gift cards?

Just stating my 3 cents. Not worried about SW gift cards but weighing in on it for everyone else. In reality only made one claim for a delayed flight but maxed out on what we were allowed to purchase. Looking forward to the next.

Wow! You must have bought a lot. We had our luggage delayed for 5 days and had pretty much replaced our entire wardrobes and toiletries and didn't come close to the limit from Southwest.

Sadly we were 4 of us and buying at over inflated retail prices and not marshalls, burlington, tj maxx, bealls outlet. Where we were (home airport, 4 hours from home)there is none of that and limited by time. But we made lemonade. The Keg the next night on our layover with my sister and fiance.

Yes, the normal price at Costco is $449 for both the SW and Alaska Airlines gift card, when it is available.

Right now the SW card is available, the Alaska Airlines one is not. I'll look closer to the time I need to book a flight.
