Hi all,

So, my inlawas have asked me to manage their account. They are hoping to sell some dates to recoup some of their yearly costs. Is this feasable?
I've read as many of the Hyatt/FAQ's etc. as I could find to try to get up to speed on what I'm getting myself into.

I would appreciate any tips on how to go about doing this. Best places to list, dates, etc. I know of TUG, RW, and Koala.

Open to any other information you might find helpful as well.

Thank you in advance.

Weeks 25 to 36 have the highest demand (per Interval Intl chart) so it would make sense that they would command the highest rental prices. But that may mean that you'll need to be on the phone or computer 365 days (or whatever Welk supports) in advance as soon as they open.

Read the sticky on how to rent a timeshare.

That highest demand period doesn’t sound right for Northstar. Does the Interval chart refer to all of Lake Tahoe? Northstar is is winter destination and should get the highest rent then, resorts close to the lake will be in highest demand during the summer.

I think Wilma is correct. Northstar is nearly ski in and ski out -- you do have to walk a short bit to the gondola... but demand for winter is prime and I'd argue higher than summer (though summer is desirable and one could argue that week 26 outrents a random non-holiday winter week).

I know there were a bunch of weeks sold as event weeks when they were a Hyatt, but IMHO the general demand would be as follows:
Week 52
Week 51 or 7
Week 26
Then random winter weeks non-holiday (MLK week might be more desirable than a random non-holiday week)
Then random summer weeks

The Northstar village is pretty small and you'd really need a car to get around during the summer unless you are an avid mountain biker planning to just bike the mountain all week.

The Interval chart applies to all of Lake Tahoe. So, you're probably right.
I took a look at Marriott's Timber lodge points chart. I think that it reflects how Marriott values it's ski-in/ski-out timeshare. If I had access to Hyatt's chart, I'd use that. Here is a screenshot of the Timber Lodge chart:

So, my suggestion is for the OP to book the highest point value week. Also, look at a site like Redweek to see what the competition is asking.

Here is a link (I'm not sure if you need to be logged in or not): https://content.marriottvacationclub.com/charts/TL_PointsChart_CurrentYear.pdf

Based on Hyatt’s chart, the most expensive time for Northstar is the winter with the second half of summer.
