My husband is having kidney surgery next week. He was instructed to drink a 10 oz. bottle of magnesium citrate the day before. We have used this drink many times before prior to colonoscopies, but we are unable to find it anywhere. The pharmacist at Costco told us it is on manufacturer backorder indefinitely. He will call the surgeon's office on Monday to see what they recommend as an alternative.

Lots of it available on Amazon, but not delivered by mid-next week.

I hope it's back in stock by mid-April. :ponder:
I usually get it at Walmart.

I used to get whatever they gave me at the military pharmacy, but now that I've been kicked to the curb and am on MEDICARE the prep has been over the counter two Dulcolax pills and Miralax or generic with Gatorade.

Interesting….. I order unflavored electrolyte mix and it’s been out of stock for two months… it’s all making sense now

We could not find it anywhere two months ago when my husband went for his colonoscopy. We were driving home from my son's home one day and he decided to stop and check a small mom and pop pharmacy and found the bottles there. He was ready to call the doctor for an alternative prep.

Still? There wasn't any in September. It was recalled for some contamination issue; apparently it's mostly all made by the same factory.
