Website issues

Still cannot log in.

What error specifically are you receiving? Do you have an IT trouble ticket number from Wyndham?

Our two sons have never set up an account. I was going to have them attempt to set up their log-ins, so I can use their log-ins, but that verification process could be a PIA for my sons because they will get text messages/ emails, and they both work and have little kids. Not really easy for them.

If your sons aren't actually going to use their logins - just input your own email and/or cellphone number for the MFA - that way the MFA challenges come to you. Worth a shot to get account access.

Put your email (or cell phone) on their logins (if you create them) :)
 
I'm quite certain I've never seen so many issues with this website. It's so unexceptable. Thankful that I can login and my autopays are working. But often I can't book. Availability shows. Funny in the last day or two you can select a beginning date but not an end date. It just keeps getting worse.

Repeating what I've said in the past... They REALLY need to stop enhancing this mess, and make it performant and reliable. Continue to build on the current mess is only making things worse overall.

I could make up a log-in email for our boys. I could just set one up with our internet provider. Wyndham has my cell phone already as my phone number. That would be the problem, a new cell phone number not associated with me. But I can give it a try. You never know.

you can always open a temporary phone number through google voice-
 
Create a new email. Easy to do with either gmail or yahoo. The "do not challenge" again option does seem to be working, so as long as you are using the same computer, you would only bug your son one time if you want to use their existing email.

regarding the website - I have a blank "points summary" screen. I received an email today stating they are still working on the ticket that they created.... 7 months ago. I have no idea how many points I have remaining in developer nor resale, nor how many guest confirmations I have. As I received the warning letter last year, and have been reading the increased vengeance this year, upon threat of Wyndham cancelling anything with a guest confirmation, I am not able to use the 15 that I should have.

That worked. Set one up for our oldest son, and I am logging into it just fine. Put my cell # on it, and used Rick's email address for our chimney cleaning business.

I noticed this just today when doing a couple quick availability searches via the monthly availability calendar but didn’t have time to retest and validate. We are now up at Wyndham Shawnee for a weekend respite. I will try to repro again and if so I will report this issue to Wyndham.

It really is perplexing. Like it’s a gigantic joke to Wyndham. “Hey let’s screw up our already wonky website even more. And let’s NEVER beta test it. Let’s just foist it on these lemmings who line up every month to pay us.”
Doesn’t Wyndham have any value to customer service? And where is Michael Brown in all of this? On a Russian yacht?

It's doubly hard (to reproduce) when it's a moving target. And behavior does change, who knows when changes are introduced. The ghost inventory is super frustrating. And no doubt they are aware, the VCs are. If you call to say you are having trouble booking, will they try, they might first say, let me check first to see if it's really available. I suspect they might have a different way than us, not sure. Now there's the 1 night mysteries, can't select an end date. You can see it looking at Bonnet Creek for December. 1st image is a calendar search, 2nd image I selected the 1st as a start date, I cannot select an end date. Clicking on 1st, 13th, 17th, 19th, or 23rd - same behavior. Clicking on 21, you can select 22 or 23 for an end date. Start on 21 and end on 22, or start on 22 end on 23 and you get an unexpected error. Start on 21 and end on 22, it shows a 1 bedroom and 3 bedroom available, It let me book the 1 bedroom for 21-23. Now the 3 bedroom is gone (yes someone could have booked it). I cancelled the 1 bedroom, hasn't show up (but it's only been minutes), I'll update if I see anything.

I have suggested in the past (to Wyndham) to allow screen shots to be attached to feedback. It's so helpful, as a QA person seems to make it easier to report, and for a developer - seeing is believing.

Look what's back! My 1 bedroom deluxe (and the 3 bedroom deluxe mobility that disappeared earlier when I booked the 1 bedroom). I was able to book (and then cancelled the 3 bedroom, if anyone is interested in it). I do have to use resale points, can't my developer ones because of that negative points issue. My resale are negative, so for resale it lets me borrow. But for developer it's very confused - deducts the negative resale from the available developer, then wants to borrow the difference. And hangs. I have no hope for Wyndham fixing that, figure I'll lose some dev points and hope that next year all is okay. This is hangover from the enhancements made when the waitlist and such were implemented. The release they promoted for a couple weeks before it was released.

Any thing else showing is the funky 1 night with no ending crap (13th, 17th, and 23rd). Which leads me to wonder.... what happened to the 1st and 19th? Somebody got something booked. Maybe a 1 night add on.

Try setting up a google voice number and get the texts that way
 
Wow. To make up for Wyndham’s terrible IT department, we are relegated to burner phone numbers. Where is the oligarch Michael Brown?
If you think that’s a faster way to get stuff done, by all means go that route

I was able to repro this issue today using the monthly availability calendar at the NH resort. Screenshots below for ease of reference - so I just reported this issue with repro steps to Wyndham today as a result. I can select a start date of 1/3 at NH on the MAC (Monthly Availability Calendar), but cannot select an end date. The second screenshot indicates plenty of room availability using a date range of 1/3 - 1/5 in comparison.

When I try to modify up coming trip I see what appears to be the extra nights I would like but
but once I select the dates it’s just stuck-and oops message

If I book it totally new reservation it shows available?

is this a me not great using the site issue or a website issue?

Two points with regard to your inquiry. One, choosing a room type via the monthly availability calendar doesn't work 50% of the time from what I've seen. Two, when attempting to "Add nights" this function is currently displaying availability that doesn't actually apply for the room size you currently have booked -therefore you receive the "something unexpected just happened" when attempting to add nights. I'm seeing this same issue with a Bentley Brook existing reservation where I'm checking daily to Add Nights - it looks like there are nights available. A subsequent date range search shows me that the rooms available are only Studios - whereas my reservation is for a two bedroom unit - hence the problem. I need to submit both of these issues to Wyndham for correction.

What you can do to test against what I'm saying above - is to pick the date ranges for the extension you're attempting to book. So in your screenshot for example - if you're attempting to extend your current reservation to an 11/19 start date from the current 11/21 start date - then perform a date range based availability search for the same resort. I bet what you'll see is that if any rooms are available - they aren't the same room size that you currently have booked - but the Add Nights function is showing that there's availability for a room size that isn't actually available. This is the situation I can currently repro with my Bentley Brook reservation at present.

Yes, the dates circled with the dashes should indicate that there's actual availability at the resort in question for the actual room type/size that you currently have booked. Here's an example for my part to perhaps help make it clearer (a picture is worth a thousand words).

First screenshot is an existing reservation for Bentley Brook that I have booked from 12/19-12/22:

Now I try to select 12/18 to change the start date from 12/19 to 12/18 - results below (note the "Something unexpected just happened" error). Same thing happens when choosing 12/17 - which also shows as available:

Now let's do an availability search with a start date of 12/18 - 12/20 at Bentley Brook - that shows only a Studio unit is available. To be specific - we're overlapping by one day because I cannot make only a one night reservation - but chances are even if I could - only a studio would show as available:

I've seen this same issue repeatedly since the last website update (at least).
