Wyndham View From the Balcony

Ha - I can see our room from yours. Building on the right, 3rd floor. Very nice resort, we really enjoyed it there.
Yes - really nice resort and those lake view rooms have a great view. We were there in May this year and it was too cold for the pool. Need to make it back in warmer weather.

Four shots from the balcony of Unit 5001 at Wyndham Royal Vista. The first two were taken the day before Ian hit. The third was taken the day Ian hit the Florida west coast. It doesn't really show how "angry" the sea was. The fourth was taken the day after Ian hit.

The view from room 2531 at BB where we are right now for the week. It’s a bit early in the fall foliage season and it’s overcast today but we are still happy to be here!

I am very jealous. That may be where we were in June. Pretty much a home away from home for my family. They were putting the siding and roof on on the lower buildings when we were there, it looks great. Enjoy!

Thanks Sandi. I typically ask for top floor with a view here at BB, but they couldn’t do it for us this time around, so we are third floor “corner” room at the end of the hallway instead. We were here in early august for a long weekend and I don’t recall seeing any construction at that time but we were also in the upper building last time so I may just not have noticed.

Yes that is what BB stands for - apologies on the abbreviation. Less to type on my phone.

Drove up to Flagstaff from Sedona yesterday on AZ 89A through Oak Creek Canyon. 89A had been closed for several days because of rock slides, not hard to imagine in you've ever been there. First two photos were taken at aptly named Slide Rock State Park.

At the 6,000' level, it started snowing. Next two photos overlook the canyon from near the canyon rim. It took us three hours to go from Sedona to Flagstaff, normally a forty-five minute drive. We stopped at every wide spot on the road!

Arrived at Wyndham Flagstaff around noon and checked in but with no unit available yet. To fill the time, we went east to Meteor Crater near Winslow.

Finally, this is what greeted us this morning. Ours is the black X3 on the left. Don't think we're going anyplace today (or maybe tomorrow or the next day).
Our check-out is on 3/24 and the forecast is for snow every day between now and then. There's a shovel in the closet and I think the resort will help clear snow. A 77 year-old shoveling snow at 7,000 feet above sea level is a recipe for disaster.

Happy First Days of Spring!!

You were so close to "standing on the corner......"

The song is over fifty years old. "Standing on the corner" is a bit trite.

We stayed at Flagstaf for 5 nights at the very end of April/first few days of May in 2018. The pictures that may or may not attach are from May 3rd. It snowed!

We had snow on Memorial Day in 2019! Mostly a wintry sleety mix, but there were periods of big, fluffy flakes. :)
