Wondering if the reservation confirmed by II guest certificate can be seen from marriott website under guest's name? I have added the guest certificate for 3 days and my guest still not able to see this reservation from marriott.

Is your Bonvoy number attached? Can you see it under your name?

No…if it was a II exchange,it has nothing to do with Marriot...you can see the guest certificate in the email II sent to you after purchase..you can also go to,my history, the exchange tab on your II account and be able to modify..delete or resend the certificate to your email..I just did a exchange on II for my daughter..paid for a guest certificate that came to my email…and I sent it to her email account for her to print.

Deleted for incorrect information.

You can look up the reservation on Marriott.com using the guests name and confirmation. You won't be able to look it up by the II members name once a guest certificate is added. Realize it takes a day or two for II to update Marriott with the guest name.

Yes I was able to look up the reservation at Marriott.com under my name before I add the guest certificate. Now with guest added I am not able to look up using my guest's Marriott.com account yet, guess it will take some time to show up.

Thank you!

When did you add the guest certificate?

I have not receive any confirmation email about the guest certificate, but it was added on the 7th of Aug.
You can resend the confirmation from the My History page in your II account. By now you should be able to lookup the confirmation on Marriott.com using the guest name and confirmation number.

The only way you can see an II exchange on the Marriott (Bonvoy) site under reservations is to call the resort and have your Bonvoy number added. Even then it only works most of the time. I would think for a guest you could do the same thing.

You can add your Bonvoy number via the Marriott website. Under My Trips, Click "Don't see your reservation?" look up the reservation with name, dates, conf number which is on the II cert (reservation number). System finds it. You can then edit guest info and add your Bonvoy number. I do it all of the time.

I've never gotten that to work right, and now I just tried and it did.

I fixed it for you. :) JK The trick is waiting for II to update the reservation to your name-takes 2-3 days and the info matching. Usually it does. I really like not having to call and having everything show on Bonvoy. I don't think its working with Westin/Sheraton/Vistana yet. Also, doesn't work with Renaissance Aruba because that's not a MVC property. I have to add Bonvoy at check in for that one.
