Hi , Back in December I bought a 2 bedroom at Lagunamar through Redweek. The seller paid for the 2022 fees which I was happy about… and now I’m relieved because they just told me it probably won’t finalize until another three months. Which puts me at approximately September sometime. And no it was not LT transfers that did it unfortunately. But my question is I’m probably not going be able to use it by the end of 2022 because of availability and other vacations planned. Can I bank it until 2023? I’m a 3 star elite so I have until October 1, correct? TIA

With it being resale, there won't be any StarOptions to bank. You will only be able to deposit the week or deposit each side into II prior to December 31st. It will mean that you need an individual II account which you will need to pay a membership fee for (if you don't already have one).

Ok .. so I will only be able to put it in II . I do have a membership but I have never deposited anything. How long do I have to use it? I’m sure there’s a thread on here that will teach me how to use II. I think my membership is only for this year. So if I put them in there, do I have to have a membership to use it for next year?

Is the II account you have now an individual II account that you pay a membership fee for? Not an "corporate" II account that has other Vistana weeks in there that are VSN eligible?

Once you deposit, the deposit will be good for two years and you will have to complete travel by the expiration date, which should be 12/31/2025.

It is something that was giving to us as a perk last November when we bought something so that our other resale was changed into star options. So it says we are members of interval gold .. it says we have all the benefits of a II membership. Thank you for explaining everything to me… I’m still in the learning process. I have all of this “stuff” and have no idea.

If Gold was given as a perk it is likely on the Corporate II account which has you developer purchase and your other resale.

Since your resale Lagunamar is not part of SVN it cannot be in that same II account - you will need to open a new account for that. The fee is $99/year and you will also be asked to pay an exchange fee if your exchange is successful. I have a similar account for my non-enrolled MVCI weeks, but it's not active anymore.

Yes. Your membership will have to be "Active" for you to use your week not just when you deposit.
If you plan to make a reservation for some time in 2024 or 2025, you will have to pay II Membership until you have checked-in.

I think there are also Exchange fees aren't there when you actually use your II deposit to make a reservation. I can't seem to find what they are but $219 rings a bell and it might vary dependent upon your membership level and the size of unit?

Ok … well let’s hope there is availability in September or October that I can sneak a trip in! Thanks for all the info
