RCI Resort Certificate

Does anyone know how to set up resort certificates through RCI for a Vacation Villiage / Massanutten timeshare resale?

It should set up automatically. Do you have rci points or an rci weeks account?
For the rci weeks account it would get deposited once a year as a deposit. You will see it as a 2-45 day something or other. I think my use year is Nov 1-Oct 31 and my annual cert shows up as Feb 1- Jan 31.
For my rci points account the week shows up in Deals after you log onto rci. Massanutten bonus getaway certificate.

In general at least one usually gets attached to a Massanutten or VV account if you have one or more resales but I don't think they are contractually obligated to transfer upon resale so if one doesn't appear you can ask but if it doesn't I am not sure if there is anything you can do. They are the same kind of inventory as Last call rentals so getting one if you use it cost $259 regardless of size vs the current $289-$329 last call rental prices for a savings of $30-$70.

Originally it was a weeks account but I had a points account that was supposed to be transferred from the previous owner through the resale on Thursday.

Your are correct. Only the points were authorized to be transferred the certificate was not. The lady at RCI was asking for my certificate number. I was looking forward to that perk so I will give it another week or so and call RCI back. Thank you! I appreciate your help.

It could take a few months before it appears. It just appears when it appears. I don't think rci can "do" anything to make it happen. And if you don't see any last call rentals that interest you, then you know you aren't missing anything.
