I think the subsets got a little easier since DRI was acquired by Hilton. If one wanted to get even more complicated, the evolution of DRI by acquisition would be, I believe, rather extensive as they gobbled up several smaller, failing companies Along the way.
DRI started with, essentially, one timeshare, Polo Towers, which itself was divided into two HOA’s forThe Suites at Polo Towers and The Villas at Polo Towers. They also had some ownership interest in Jockey Club and Carriage House, but I don’t believe managed those two. Then they started taking big bites, acquiring Sunterra out of bankruptcy. After that they went on a buying binge of several smaller, struggling properties/companies. Sometimes holding into them, sometimes losing control while maintaining reservation rights to a portion of unit weeks at various resorts. Gatlinburg Town Square comes to mind in this situation.
There are a number of smaller acquisitions of smaller companies by slightly larger companies. French Quarter LLC was acquired in part by Spinnaker, which spun off the Colonnade and Grand Regency (I believe both properties have been renamed) but kept the French Quarter Branson resort.
Holiday Inn Vacation Club controls what use to be Ramada Vacation Club and also purchased Holiday Hills, which was a Branson timeshare development. I believe they’ve purchased others as well.
Westgate purchased a regional developer in Branson MO called Grand Vista which gave them Branson Woods and Branson Lakes.
I guess it just depends on how detailed you want to get with this as theses are just the few I can recall from our timeshare experience over the last 20 years. I never wrote them down, so my memory could be off. One poster above is correct in that it could take one individual hours of research to get them all, but as a group we could get a pretty good idea as one memory can trigger someone else’s memory and slowly we could piece the puzzle together.
