Time for a mindless silly thread. I came across this pic on a travel hack site. I have yet to find the perfect situation for my tooth brush.
I have brought suction cup holders to stick to the bathroom mirror for cruises, bought a cheap plastic toothbrush cup to resorts. All too bulky when packing.

I have grabbed glasses from the kitchen and just used those to stand upright. More recently I just started laying a few papertowels on the bathroom counter and lay the on them.
I don't like to put them in their little travel case or use covers because they sit around wet all the time.

Anyway, thought this was pretty creative!

I use an electric toothbrush, even while traveling and either it rests on the charger or stands up by itself. :D

Hmmm. I just put mine in the little travel covers, wet or not. I'm gonna rinse the thing off before I put it in my mouth anyway. And not to gross anybody out, but to be blunt about it, that 'bathroom odor' frankly is airborne poop. having one's toothbrush out in it probably is not the most hygenic place. Maybe in a cup with some alcohol-containing mouthwash?

With no one cleaning the bathrooms now, I just lay it over the sink so the brush can air dry.

Super ...love it.

Worldmarks have large plastic glasses, Cliff will set one of those on the bathroom counter. Left to my own devices, my toothbrush just lays on the bathroom counter amidst my other toiletries. Pretty much does tgat at home too unless I sweep everything from counter into a drawer. It has been decades since I used a stander upper toothbrush holder thingie.

Here's how I read the question --
While you are away from home, what do you do with the toothbrush you left at home. (Couldn't figure out why that was a concern.)

To funny, I actually rewrote the title twice so it didn't sound like that. Guess I will chalk that up to a fail :)

Same!

What do you mean no one cleans the bathrooms? I sure hope they get cleaned between guests...

That's how I read it too.

I think the poster meant that there aren't cleaning people coming into the room during your stay, so you don't have to worry about someone handling your toothbrush if it’s on the counter.

We used an electric toothbrush that comes with it on toothbrush stand / holder.

Take it to the kennel like you do with your dog.

Cheers

I have a hinged plastic toothbrush holder that opens and lays flat (like a mini suitcase), so I can lay the brush on that and leave it open to dry. Mine's old and has teethmarks from when one of our dogs pulled it out of a suitcase once and tried to gnaw it open. I keep using it, though, because I can't find that style any more to replace it and it works so well!

I'm envisioniong something like an eye glass case, but thinner. Correct?

Yes…it's molded plastic so it doesn't have a metal hinge, just a thinner plastic area that holds the two sides together. I actually found one online:

I’ve looked before and hadn't seen one but looks like someone’s selling a version now. Guess I'll need to get a new one, although my old one has “character.”

We have a wall mount toothbrush holder that matches a wall mount soap dish above the vanity sink at home. On trips we use a clean wash towel and fold the towel over our stuff when we are done. The maids seem to know and leave the towel alone. So far so good.

Yes. That’s what I mean.
