I have a week deposited good til Dec 2023 I am about to use for Jan 2022 and was gonna add the E-Plus, I only ever do Marriott stays and I have a recollection there is then no need to do e-plus as you can do marriott to marriott exchanges anyway? However this particular exchange is on my basic account not corporate.

Also I can see what I want with both my studio and 2 bed deposits, so do I use the studio (pay the exchange fee, e-plus and upgrade to 2 bed fee) keeping the 2 bed for future as maybe has more power? Or can you always see the same with studio/2 bed deposits and then just pay the upgrade fee? Hope that makes sense...... lol

Exchanges from your personal II account using a non enrolled week is not eligible for free retrade— even to other Marriotts. You will need to purchase eplus within 5 days of your original exchange.
Personally I would use my studio and pay the upsize fee and save your 2 BR for the future- it will have more trading power.

If you can wait til November (59 days before check-in) to make the confirmation for Jan 2022, you will NOT have to pay the upsize fee.
Of course, you would be gambling that your desired week would still be available (or would appear again.)

Oh thats good to know, I have 1 unit already which technically we can all fit in, I just prefer a second unit for more comfort so in this case I could gamble, thanks for this info, I was not aware of it! Why is it?

Rule: No upsize fee inside 60 days.

You can test it out right now. If you search with your Studio, you will see that any dates within 59 days do not incur the upsize fee.

You mentioned a "second unit", I assume a mistype and you desire a bigger unit. Eplus will not allow you to get a second individual unit.

I have 1 unit booked which sleeps 8 ( we are 7) so it was more if I lost out wouldn't be the end of the world as only wanted the second for the space. But I did go ahead and book it anyway rather than wait.
