Has anybody had luck trading into any of the Hawaii properties for next summer? If so which property and what u trade? Asking because trying to trade there.

Have you placed requests?
 
I have three weeks reserved in June at Ko Olina and Napili Towers through DC points but do have an exchange on record with Interval International that has not come in yet.

I found May 27 to June 3 at Marriott Koolina about 6 weeks ago. That is the only 2022 2br week I have seen in II so far. No OGS was set up, just instant exchange inventory.

I deposited a Gold 2BR Aruba Surf Club unit on Jun 2, and placed a request for KoOlina, Maui Ocean Club and Kauai Beach Club. Nothing yet. I've already secured 2 weeks via points at KoOlina and Maui OC, so hoping my II request comes through and will replace one of those points reservations. I know the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim, but I can hope.
Updated: My II request is for the month of July.

I believe Ko Olina, because it has lots of trust units, should be able to give you a great chance to get an exchange.

For the OP, yes I traded into a 1Br MOC from June 12-19. I traded a shadow ridge for it and am offering it to family to join us.

Yes, we were lucky to trade into a 1-BR KORVN for late June using the smaller 1-BR at WKV (Westin Kierland Villas) for the trade. CJ

With a MGO plat week, you should have no problem getting a nice unit in MM1 or MMO or MKO. Maybe even a 3BR.

The issue I have with Hawaii in 2022 is if they shut down again. I am in KoOlina now for 3 weeks and I hear in the news that they are requiring Oahu residents to get vaccinated every 5 month to get to restaurants and bars. Maui is asking guests to stay in resort bubbles. This could escalate quickly.

Any luck. I think you missed a chunk of deposits since you were after 12 months out but still have a good chance of success. I assume you're trying for a 2 BR. Ko Olina and KBC will be the most likely candidates but list as many properties as you're OK getting.

I traded a Shadow Ridge 1BR (from Enclaves). It's a really good trading property, I typically reserve a February week using the Shadow Ridge as a ladder to book Ko Olina Presidents Week 13 months out, and then trade the Shadow. I've been very happy with it -- it matched with the MOC week exactly 12 months out. I hope to see you in Hawaii in 2022!

Got it! 1 bedroom for 1 bedroom. I guess you try to trade a studio for a one bedroom next if possible. Do do know the view for the MOC week?

I hope to see you as well. I’m hoping that Hawaii will be tourist friendly again by then. I have been looking at car rental rates for next year? The rates are crazy! I am hoping they decrease by next year.

Yes, I got a Mountain Garden View -- and more specifically, a 1BR MGV, not the 1BR Master of a 2BR MGV. It's a good room (we are in Maui) but it's not a great room - I would prefer a 1BR Master from a 2BR, but happy to have the trade!

I have an ongoing request for any Hawaii Marriott for July or August 2022 using a 1BR Canyon Villas May 21st week. We really want KoOlina but would be happy with any of them. Should I just keep the Marriott as requested or should I expand my search and include other TS systems. Any thoughts on which resorts are comparable and might give me a chance of success?
