So I used all of my AC’s in II from covid. A total of 9 were used in two accounts. I have been checking and no more have popped up. Has anyone used all of their AC’s and had more deposited? I can sure use another one or two and I check daily. Hoping more get deposited. Was wondering if anyone had more deposited after exhausting all of theirs.

Not me. I’ve used all of mine and keep hoping for some more!

Yuppp. Lol. They should start taking them away from people who aren’t traveling and deposit more for those of us who have used all of them. More exchange fees!

I went ahead and deposited my week because it said I would receive A/C.
Best use yet -- 2 bedroom at MOC for just under $400. Retail is more than that for one night. I'm here now -- my fourth and final week. (Used A/C to do 2 week quarantine here first 2 weeks.)

No new ones here either. Just one left with a March 2021 expiration. We will use it somewhere along the line. We have used seven so far this year.

I used the two I had this year. Haven’t seen another.

I still have some in my acct, and we're not keen to travel right now. So far I've never used any, ever, though I always think I oughta.

That’s what I was afraid of. Still hoping for more. They have so many out there in accounts of people not traveling. Give them to the people using them instead of letting them sit unused, not collecting exchange fees.

I have several and a platinum membership so no guest certificate. I booked a week for a member earlier this year. It takes trust. Since that member had to give me their cc#.

I would do it again as it only took a small amount of effort on my part.

Obviously I deleted all cc info once completed.

I think I have quite a few which I am not going to be able to use this year - I am work from home but my husband isn't so only have limited time unless we can find a staycation location. I would be willing to part with one or two of them if someone needs one.

Last week, I tried to give away one Covid-19 certificate with just a small amount to cover my fees. It was caught by Interval immediately and my account was locked. Interval asked how I know my guest, and my response was I met her online forum. Interval said the renter called after I added the guest certificate and told the II rep they've rented the unit from me on public forum. In the end, I had the guest and Interval to talk together for 3 way talk and clear things out. I had to return all the small amount of the fees back to guest and let them use for free in the agreement with Interval. My account was later unlocked.

Just to report my story here and if you need to watch out when you give away or charge small amount for this Covid-19 certificate. Interval will call and ask the guest if they have paid anything. Even you just charge $1 it is violation of the rule.

I suspect II puts out a number knowing that some will be unused. They probably anticipate something like 90% going unused. Perhaps not this year, but in normal years they probably put out more than they actually have weeks to fill them all. So they couldn't just take them from those that don't use them and give them to those that do.

We have also noticed recently that Getaway prices have really jumped quite a bit. Seemed to be in anticipation of their Mystery Sale. They have a tendency to increase the prices before putting getaways on sale.

The way around this is to get the credit card information from the guest and pay directly to II using that credit card. Pay for the guest certificate as part of the same transaction. Of course a stranger from an online forum probably won't hand out their credit card information. In your situation, you were doing the "renter" a huge favor in confidence. I would have given them the money back and took their name off the confirmation and figured out a different way to use it or let it go to waste.

I did this and no issue. It cost me nothing but my time to search for the location. II received payment not me.

Yes I was doing the guest a favor and returned the small fees that supposed to cover my expense. Without doing this and show the proof to Interval, my account will be locked. I had no choice and this lucky guest received my free Hawaii week could worth $3000.

Just be careful and make sure do not give your guest anything information on the II confirmation until all are set and both parties are in the agreement. Your guest might unintentionally screws you up by talking too much to Interval.

Was this from an exchange or an AC?

It was an exchange from Covid cancellation.
So if you exchange your week, you can't rent to someone? Or is this just due to it being a Covid exchange? Is renting your week frowned upon? If it's your week why is it not allowed? I thought you couldn't rent a unit booked from an Accommodation Certificate. I didn't know they didn't allow rentals of your own week/points. Please clarify/verify for my own knowledge. Thanks.

In general you can't rent exchanges out. If they are your owned weeks you can rent that.

There are some systems like worldmark that allow you to rent what you book because you own points rather than a week.

I will be NEW to "renting my week". So I am taking the opportunity to learn all I can. I will go over and read the "sticky notes" posted about how to rent. But this conversation peaked my interest. @CPNY was inquiring about AC surplus and I came in to find out if/how you can get more AC's from others. I find @CPNY is always a bundle of helpful knowledge for me. And to hear about the "renting" an exchanged Covid week is frowned upon caught my attention. I am like a sponge on these boards and trying to learn all I can from the experience of others. I plan to rent one or two of my weeks eventually and want to be sure I don't get "locked" like @pchung6 did.

So....you had 9 ACs and you are looking for more? I want to be like you when I grow up!! ;)
