Background: I had 2 listings with Vacation Candy when Covid hit hard in March. I never heard from VC but reached out to them just prior to the check-in dates in April. I already had 100% of my rental $ but offered a partial refund or rebooking. All of my correspondence with them was amicable.
I now have new reservations listed on Redweek. VC contact me and my response was I wanted 100% at time I sent confirmation. No refunds. They needed to consult with renter about trip insurance.
I have communicated with others interested in my ads and with them I'm more flexible. It's easier dealing directly with the customer and talking about possible set backs that may happen once things open up more.
How are others changing their contracts as we move forward?
