New food item at Costco

My daughter tried making a frozen margarita with this Costco margarita and it came out great. Keep in mind it's a complete drink--it includes the tequila--so you don't have to add anything to it except the ice if you're make a frozen one.
I'm salt restricted, so simply pouring it over ice in an old fashioned glass works well too. Hard to complain about blended either. :)

If we ever get back to Florida I will have to look for that margarita mix to use in our Margaritaville machine - DH likes frozen margaritas.
~Diane

Its not a mix. The tequila and triple sec is already included.

I've never heard of street corn dip. Guess I need to get out more! Does it have a texture like hummus or more like salsa or a sour cream or cream cheese type dip?

This was the first time I've ever heard of it either. It's more like the sour cream or cream cheese type of dip. There are kernels of corn, chopped peppers, and shreds of cheese interspersed throughout. The first ingredient is yogurt.

Yes, that's why I call it a mix -it's all mixed together -lol. We bought a Pina Colada mix on a trip to Florida a few years ago and DH didn't realize it already had the rum in it, although he should have known by the price of it. He made me a frozen Pina Colada and added more rum -it was really good, I slept well that night! We read the labels carefully now!

Ooohhh that sounds pretty good. :)

Corn Dip Recipe
1 pint sour cream
1 small can chopped green chilis
1 small can pickled jalapenos, chopped
1 12oz package finely shredded cheddar
1-2 finely chopped green onions
1 small can mexicorn or fiesta corn
1/2 cup mayo

drain everything that has juice & mix together

Serve w/tortilla chips. Also excellent as a baked potato topper.

Makes a lot. Obviously there are many ways this recipe can be "lightened up".

Sounds like a great recipe above and I love the idea of putting it on a baked potato!

I read somewhere that Costco now carries a fresh pre-made charcuterie board that I would like to try. I think it contains soft and hard cheeses, meats, grapes, strawberries, fig jam and crackers and more.

I wonder how many grams of sugar (high fructose corn syrup) and artificial trans fats are in all of that? Keep a cardiologist on your speed dial! :)
Please take it easy on the Margarita with Tequila & triple sec;; it came run your A1C numbers up .:cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious:o_O:oops:

It is my fave! Easy Peasy wither blended or just over ice! :)

Love Margaritas, the salsa has to be mild though and corn is off limits per Dr orders.

I wish I could get the Margarita stuff here in TX. Costco here is only allowed Beer and wine. Need to change TX state laws hate having to go to LA, there is one right along the highway in Baton Rouge, to get my Costco branded liquor fix. I usually stock up on a drive through to another state. I just haven't been on a long distance drive since last year.

But we welcome you to Baton Rouge!

This dip, despite great efforts to search for it, seems to be #notatmyCostco. This makes me very, very sad. :( I wish we still had an inside line for tracking items like this....

To lessen the blow, however, we did experience something not seen since March--SAMPLES! They had Terra chips out in individual wax paper bags for eating once leaving the store. There were a few other "product demonstrations" but they were just "featuring" the product--not sampling then. But I am happy to see that some of those folks have gotten their jobs back, in whatever form.

The "Sample People" are contracted workers - not Costco employees. But they were kept employed during the reduced-hours times, so they wouldn't go without wages. They were the ones who were sanitizing carts and directing people where to get in the line, cleaning things over and over, and such. At least, that's how it was in the PNW.

Good to know sampling has returned to your local warehouse.

Yes, I know that they are third-company contractors, not Costco employees. I am not sure that I saw them doing those other duties (the folks I saw doing that had the regular Costco name tags, etc., and not the hats and logo of the contracting company that the sample/product demo folks wear.) So maybe that part was region-by-region.

Our food court is still doing only hotdogs, sundaes/smoothies, and pizza. I really miss the chicken bake.

Another new item we got at Costco about two weeks ago. There were beef tri-tip hamburger patties in the deli section. These are raw and seasoned and I think there were 8. They were so good. We grilled them and enjoyed each and every bite. They tasted like steak to me. When we went to get more of them yesterday, the butcher said it was a trial item and may not come back.

Those sound great. We have always enjoyed the seasoned/marinated tri-tip beef they have, so I would imagine the burger patties would be just as good.

You are fortunate. Pennsylvania does not allow even beer or wine. The unions that influence the state liquor board are too powerful.
