I didn't watch that show but I've been watching a lot of Law and Order reruns. It's amazing/shocking/appalling how timely so many of them are today.

1) It's just a TV show.
2) It was filmed before the current events took place.
3) Someone dies on this show every week.
4) It's fiction.

I like this show, though Paramount loves to cram in the commercials....
I love the scenery.
Reminds me a bit of Longmire - another good show to watch.
Kevin Costner has been in so many good movies - and now TV.

Ok.... so I need something to binge on this weekend (because I’m going on a super boring trip). Someone has told me to watch this show. Is it that good?

Yellowstone first caught my attention due to Kevin Costner (and the scenery...did I mention the scenery?). I binged season one a couple of years ago and enjoyed the plot lines and character development. I have yet found a way to watch season 2 and season 3 is now out. Hopefully I can get caught up soon.

I will say this show is not for the faint of heart (take the ratings seriously) so Yellowstone is definitely not one where you want your first viewing to be during family time.

I watched the first episode, maybe two, and it didn't catch my interest enough to try to remember to watch it. Seeing ads for the current year has made me think I'd watch it when I could watch multiple episodes at one time. Halt & Catch Fire was that way for me -- onesies didn't keep me watching, but being able to binge watch held my interest.

I normally don't like scripted shows, but I think I will check this out - thank you. The scenery & cowboy stuff will be my hook.
(my fantasy life is the Pioneer Woman - Ree Drummond).

Pray for me this weekend. I am the adult chaperone for a group of 15 teens (17-19 YO) at a long weekend cabin trip. Kill me now.

Is there anyone you would like us to contact should you not return from this adventure?

Did I mention it's CO-ED?

Earlier this week my daughter asked if we could drive separately so she could have some "independence" (It's a 3 hour drive). Uh, no.

Vegas is setting a line on the number of years @Cornell ages this weekend..

Good luck Cornell!

Now just remember, you were that age once. But perhaps, that's where the sense of hesitation comes from. ;)

We enjoy it. It took a little while to get rolling in season 1.

All That beautiful scenery is shot in Utah, not Montana.

My tenant is from Montana. She says they call Bozeman, Boze Angeles.

I missed this point earlier, but it is worth remembering that a good number of Law and Order episodes (from all of the L&O series - including spinoffs) were based on events that had occurred back then. It is also worth remembering just how good of a series Law & Order was over the years. So many actors and actresses came through Law & Order or one (or more) of the spinoffs.

Close enough to heaven for me either way.

This is off topic kind of as well. As I said, I've been watching a lot of L&O reruns. And it is interesting to see how many great talents have been on the show. A couple of nights ago I was watching a rerun that had both Leslier Odom, Jr. and Daveed Diggs, both in "Hamilton". This is shortly after I'd watched "Hamilton" on Disney Plus. When I checked the date the episode was originally aired around the time "Hamilton" premiered on Broadway.

I guarantee you Luanne there will never be a game (or website) called six degrees of Law & Order!
Should not take any more that two to link an actor back to someone who was on a Law & Order episode....

Any many of them were on multiple episodes. It's really fun to see some of them when they were really young. A couple of nights ago Sarah Paulson was playing a 17 year old. And usually you can tell if someone well knownish is in the cast, they are the murderer.

And to add to that - how some of the characters 'flipped' sides.
For example, Jerry Orbach's first appearance on Law & Order was as a defense attorney - as was Richard Brooks.

I thought Richard Brooks flipped the other way. He was the first ADA on the show, and then after he left he came back at least once as a defense attorney.

He may have flipped twice......gonna make me look that one up now!

Never saw West Wing when it originally aired in the 90s. Just binge watched the last 3 seasons. Amazing how relevant many of the topics still are, 20+ years later.

Okay, here is something that might help both of us, lol. Richard Brooks played Paul Robinette (the ADA) when Law and Order first started. What I didn't remember was that Chris Noth was the original cast first detective.

Law and Order are the names of Chuck Norris' left and right legs.
