This is a fascinating article with charts from the Wall Street Journal. Absolutely devastating. The supply chain has been upended and parts of it are unraveling.
The food industry will figure it out. Meanwhile we won’t starve. There is an abundance of food, grains, beans, etc. Might not be everyone’s favorites but nutritious enough.

No, we won't starve, but this article from UN's World Food Programme estimates that the Covid-19 Pandemic will put 130 million additional people at risk of acute hunger this year (that is in addition to the estimated 135 million at risk w/o the pandemic). Really sad.

I'm retired from one of the big food companies and my stock that I'd gotten via grants, etc., was really in the doldrums. Interestingly it's seen a nice climb in price during the pandemic because of the increase in purchases of shelf stable food items. Haven't sold much of it because I don't really want to take the capital gains yet, but it shows that there are also winners in some of these situations.

Feed My Starving Children is a wonderful organization that feeds children all over the world. I love that charity.
Victory gardens are such a good idea. The only vegetables I would want to grow are tomatoes and cucumbers, well maybe green beans. I have been successful in those three. Peppers and Anaheims never turn out great.
