On our last whale watch tour in March on Maui we had an incredible show. Started while we were sitting in the harbor waiting for the boat to load with a competition pod way, far out. After that everything was up close. At one point there was a group of canoes out and the whales were getting up very close to them. I can imagine it was awesome and terrifying at the same time.

I know, paddle boarding up north all we have at the lake are large lake trout.
