My Masks Finally Arrived - Fogged Glasses HELP

Hi I ordered 5 masks from a company a month ago and finally got them. I went to the store today but could not see as my glasses fogged up.
Does anyone have any suggestions or help that they can provide?

Use Ski No Fog cloth (about $2) at ski shops or Anti-fog gel (about $10) I tried both and they seemed to help.

Couldn't get a Dawn mixture to work.

Next, I am going to try the Costco lens cleaner spray from the optical department.

Some scuba divers use a mixture of Johnsons no tears baby shampoo mixed with water in their masks.

I've heard if you wash your glasses with shaving cream that will help with the fogging. Also I've heard washing them with soap and water can help.

I use SPIT antifog spray for my swimming goggles and it should work the same.

I use toothpaste and wipe off for scuba diving. Works well.

I was outside at a Farmers Market picking my online order. I’ve work my mask in the house too and it still fogs up.
The new rule that the Governor made on Friday makes it necessary for me to get this figured out. Food Shopping was already stressful now I’m going to be bumping into things at the store.

Soap and water wash on our glasses was recommended to us before going out with a mask on, but it works "just OK". I find if I remember to get a good pinch on the nose of the mask when I first put it on, that's best. Eventually I'll get a mask with a "rise" over the nose that I hope will dip down a bit under my eyes. A properly pinched mask comes up right under my lower eyelids, and I hate that feeling.

I got a little occasional light fogging on my glasses from the hospital's masks. I found that if they fit tight above the nose bridge, the worst of it doesn't happen. You need to keep your (humid) exhale breath off the glasses. If necessary, loosen the bottom seam. Yes, it's bothersome, but far less than getting sick.

If you wear glasses then the mask you wear should have a piece of soft metal/wire at the bridge of the nose. This area should be pinched tight so it 'hugs' your nose and air can't escape upwards under your glasses. If your mask didn't come with wire at the nose you might be able to poke a thick piece of twist tie thru the cloth and stitch it in place so it won't slide over to the side or down the mask.
A thin layer of shaving cream on the inside of the lenses then polished clear will help as mentioned above, but the best fix is a proper fitting mask with a wire across the bridge of the nose.

I wouldn't try toothpaste because it's slightly abrasive. It could create tiny scratches or ruin the coating that's put on some lenses.

Hello I do surgery for part of my living so I am very familiar with surgical masks.

Disposable masks for surgeons with glasses contain a bendable metal strip at the bridge of the nose. Some of them will also have a little piece of foam on the bridge of the nose. The idea is to bend the metal to contour the shape of the bridge of your nose.

My intern made me a few fabric surgical masks- she’s a veterinarian and a seamstress too. She found a pattern for sewing masks like this pretty easily. That’s the kind of mask you need to buy.

A piece of white bandage tape across the outside of the bridge of your nose- ie taping the edge of the mask to the skin of the bridge Of your nose solves this issue too, for the masks without the nosebridge bendy parts.

Another FB post the gal demonstrated just folding a paper towel several times and putting over the bridge of your nose, under the mask.

This morning though my husband placed his glasses lower over the mask instead of up the nose and above the mask. He said it helped just need to make sure your glasses are not lose. I did not try it yet. I will experiment later.

Unfortunately none of that type was available to purchase. The only I could find to purchase that were in stock were the cloth version and those took a month to get to me. If anyone knows where I could purchase online some of the masks with wire, please do let me know. I also shop for my 86 year old aunt, so I want to ensure I can get her groceries.

Also, have the eyeglasses leash so if the glasses fall off, they will just be around your neck.
