I cannot log in. I have owned for a number of years, and my password is very short. I keep wondering if that is keeping me from logging in, maybe there is a new rule saying passwords should be so many characters and contain a capital letter, a symbol and a number, or something like that.

I am thinking of calling Shell, but Rick is still asleep here on Maui, so I don't want to disturb him.

Just got Shell via a phone call. My account is locked because the system was not subtracting points when I booked. I am 4,200 points or thereabouts in the hole for this year. We own 25,300 points, so I asked, "why not take this out of next use year?" No answer to that.

Great. I cannot log in for 3-5 business days. How lovely. Most of my transactions average 800 points. It's not like I am a mega renter.

I am pretty upset that Shell locked my account over their issue. If the website didn't subtract points, why do I have to be inconvenienced. I have guests arriving in a few days. I am not happy.

Why does Wyndham have the right to shut me out of an account I pay for? They have all of the power, while I am just a dues-paying owner.

Still locked out of my account. They said 3-5 business days. Never buy anything that Wyndham can control and shut down, any time they want.

This happened to me as well. I'm annoyed, because I had two reservations for the same dates, and their website didn't take points for one. I noticed that it didn't subtract, and called them to cancel the one where it didn't subtract. They cancelled the other one, and told me since they were the same it didn't matter. Then a week later they locked my account with no notice, I just couldn't log in.

Apparently the group that is dealing with this is based in Florida and their office is closed this week due to Dorian. They told me after the audit was done if I was short points they would take from next year or I could rent them for $0.27.

I can definitely empathize. This has gone on too long. I am hoping my guests are not going to be inconvenienced in any way by this shutdown of my account. Wyndham has the most selfish customer service people who have no sympathy for owners.

My apologies for adding on to this thread - it just happens to be the most recent post I can find with SVC owners. I'll start a new thread if that's better...

Anyway, I am considering purchasing Shell points, though there seem to be a zillion reasons why I should not do so. The sole purpose of this would be to be able to book short stays in San Francisco - typically W-F nights. I'm having a hell of a time figuring out how things currently work, it seems much has changed fairly recently. Hard to tell what has actually changed and what is developer scare tactics. I do recognize that everything could easily change tomorrow =/

Firstly, are the Dash Away deals still available to resale points owners? That would eliminate my housekeeping cost worry. How is availability these days? We're fine with the short notice, in fact it suits our life very well.

Secondly, ahead of the old Dash window, is points renting still an option for resale points owners? I would be much more interested in SVC points if I could get the smallest possible package and just rent as needed. Curious about how availability looks on the 30-60 day window now, with a seemingly unlimited number of these rooms currently available to book as a hotel through the Wyndham hotels site at 45-90 days.

You guys' experience is much appreciated. Many thanks...
