We haven't been to Cabo in more than 15 years. We've been thinking we might like to go back and potentially in July to celebrate my husband's birthday. In checking out the historical weather I see that Cabo averages about 5" of rain during the month of July which indicates it could be really rainy weather when we're there. For those of you who frequent Mexico (Cabo or surrounding area) what are your thoughts on the chance of that much rain in July? Of course, weather is subjective and crazy anymore so who really knows? Just looking for opinions based on experiences - both weather or otherwise during the month of July.

Thanks!

Unlikely to get much rain. If it does it will come in one or two big bursts and some of the streets will turn into rivers for a short period of time. Hope you like heat if will likely be 105°F each day. July is part of Hurricane Season.

Generally VERY HOT. Might have some rain, but it's a desert.

I went to Cabo in July last year to escape the heat of Palm Springs. Most of the time it was quite pleasant.

Generally VERY HOT & humid with thunderstorms & torrential rains.
I didn't find it to be that humid since it's a desert climate rather than the more humid Puerto Vallarta area. The rainy season seemed to be more the latter part of August and September.

Was there a few years ago...July 4th week. Hot, hot, hot. Remember seeing horses on the beach and feeling so sorry for them. I think it was 105 one day.

Hot, hot, hot doesn't bother us at all. We lived in the deserts of California and Nevada so are used to the heat. Humidity? Well, we lived in Fiji for 2 years and survived with air conditioning in the bedroom only so I think we're good with that. We just don't want to go to Mexico and have it rain the whole time we're there.

Thank you everyone!

August and September really ramp up the humidity, but July is still hot. The Pacific Ocean beach resorts (Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, Finisterra, Playa Grande, and Grand Solmar at Land's End) are a bit more comfortable with the ocean breezes, but be prepared to sweat in town! It would be very unusual to have a lot of rain, though.

It will be warm but fine. If you’ve lived in the desert this will be nothing.

I’ll be there the following week.
