This is true. We own a EOY plat CH and really love Boston. The unit does trade well. I picked up a 3BDRM Surfwatch HHI for a friend for mid August, which isn't super red but a very solid trade nonetheless.
What about Grande Chateau, two bedroom that can be locked off selling for about $2000 with the maintenance fee a little over $1200. I would think with the two bedroom you could get a one bedroom and if the one bedroom gets a one bedroom, then you have the studio to trade.
I am laughing a little as I read this -- thinking of the Tug mantra of "buy where you want to go". But nobody wants to do that -- the maintenance fees are too high.
The not so funny part for me, I did buy where I wanted to go -- but still can't book a summer week at Newport Coast.

Wyndham Founder; Disney OKW & SSR; Marriott's Willow Ridge and Shadow Ridge,Grand Chateau; Val Chatelle; Hono Koa OF (3); SBR(LOTS), SDO a few; Grand Palms(selling); WKORV-OF ,Westin Desert Willow.
The cheapest Marriott trader that works for the Marriott resort in Breck and the ones in Vail (for me) is Marriott's Willow Ridge, Branson. The studio sometimes gets great last-minute inventory, but the one bedroom trades as well as the two bedroom.

Sorry Newport Coast has such a sorry excuse for a use calendar. We only go there in the non summer months so our gold weeks work great for any week in the first 1/2 of the year and can often trade into the fall most years.
