My aunt's family (adults and grandkids) want to stay in Waikoloa during early fall school break. They all live in Honolulu.

Can I book for them during open season, and get a guest cert for check in?
I've reviewed the 2018 HGVC regs, and don't see anything specifying that open season was for HGVC members only.

I own at Bay Club, could book from Bay Club too. I think my aunt and family would prefer a 3 bdrm in Kingsland. And also grandkids could use hotel facilities at no extra cost.

TIA

You can book only book via points NOT open season cash prices if you send a guest. Open season $$ price is only for someone listed on the deed.

Can’t be done. The member has to be there at check in so if you live close enough. . .

Thx Sandy and Buzglyd. Too bad... i'll check with Bay Club for due diligence too. And advise my aunt to check Redweek for Kingsland rentals.

I always avoid a fall break stay in Waikoloa because of annual Ironman race.

A couple of other options for Waikoloa rentals. Interval International has WKL Shores as getaway cash rentals, they are just like Bay Club and just across the golf course.

Thanks! I'll pass it along to my aunt. I checked II, but didn't see any WKL Shores dates in October...will keep checking once I get her dates. The Honolulu schools can have different schedules. Some used to be year-round.
